After yesterdays experience with stale coffee that left me with a crap coffee mouth feel all day, I'm please to say that the 2nd bag I purchased from a different local roaster was much much better! And for the price I paid for it, sure needs to be! Not grumpy :-)

This story made me smile - businessman takes on Wilson parking and wins

Short version is that he paid for parking but made a mistake with rego.  Received a "ticket" from Wilsons, appealed it, appeal denied, took them to disputes tribunal and won.  He made the valid point that if you paid an invoice and made a mistake on the reference number, you wouldn't expect to get an excess charge of $85.

There's also some interesting legal comment in the story.

This leads me to think that if everyone parking at Wilsons "accidentally" made a mistake with their rego, then refused to pay the outrageous excess fee, it would cause a lot of hassle to Wilsons.  The precedent has been set.  I actively avoid their car parks because I hate their practices but if I ever need to use one I will probably do this just for a laugh

Disputes tribunal decisions don't set legal precedents. You'd likely win anyway but there's no legal basis to defend a dispute on the basis of a prior disputes tribunal decision.

Costco are shipping me a new BBQ Controller from the US via FEDEX, instead of making me trudge the BBQ back to them for a refund!

A mate has one. He loves the concept and mechanically it's good but he's had no end of trouble with the controller. Apparently it's a super common issue.

Yeah, they have a series of problems that are very frustrating for a device in this price range.

They have announced it's successor, which addresses all those issues and many more, it's looks incredible, but it's also moonbeams based on what I have seen internationally plus the Pacific Peso Tax.

Not sure if your mate is in NZ, but controller problems are covered by warranty and beyond, so I'd encourage him to contact his supplier.

Once I got this sorted, I then discovered Atmos Music. I thought it would be a stupid gimmick, and initially when casting from my phone to the amp, I couldn't notice anything, was about to write the whole thing off, when I thought of trying directly from the App on the amp, and holy MOLY.

It's most definitely NOT a gimmick, or at least not on the tracks I tried. Even my wife was blown away. It's like sitting on stage with the artist, it's nuts!

Yeah, it can be quite effective on a proper system. The issue I have with it is being served up the quiet lousy 2 channel downconverted version of it because tidal is an app made by stupid people that think its listenable in that form.

The Tidal app on my Shield TV works well. It even recognized I had an Atmos Capable System which surprised me.

White person moves country and he's an 'expat'.

Anyone else who does it is a 'migrant'.

Which is why the catch-all term "bloody foreigner" is so much more inclusive and useful.  Everyone is someone else's bloody foreigner.
