Great story on TV One News tonight about Rodney Roberts - the first deaf rugby ref in Canterbury. Brilliant achievement and it certainly outdoes all those numerous handicapped refs down there who have only one eye. 😀

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I tuned into Rabbit Hole Radio for 5 minutes, they were playing a tedious song called Freedom by Akon. When that finished the next song up was...... Freedom by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boyton!

Having the velcro fastener on my RZ mask getting very close to giving up the ghost and wondering whether I can get a new one before I fly out (Piranha Tools is out of stock so it'd have to come from overseas, probably the US).  Then remembering that alongside spare filters I ordered another mask last time in anticipation of needing it at some point and it's sitting on a shelf in the workshop.

As I get older, the small things that make me smile seem to get ever smaller. Today it was new Chux day! That's right the kitchen cloth or some people might use a sponge. Depending on how frugal you want to be it might be 3 weeks or 3 months between changes but it always gives me a smile when I throw that dirty old cloth in the bin and pull a new one from the pack.

Wiring up a fairly complex Modbus network in locations that are a massive pain to get at, multiple drops, DC/DC converters for some devices that need more than 12V, and after triple-checking everything because I really don't want to redo any of it, it working the first time it was powered up.  Went much better than expected.

Modbus is good like that. I’ve seen it work on TPS let alone something that has been wired well.

I love books, I own maybe up to 2000+ of them (service manuals, computer users manuals etc, but also a LOT of fiction, + electronics, engineering, photography, history, poetry, garbage fiction (The Destroyer series of books), old series E.E. "Doc" Smith, Bigles, etc books too)

For 11+ years I have had a migraine and been unable to read anything for more than 5 minutes.

This week I have started reading "Journey to Wudang" by Kylie Chan on my iPad (font enlarged, its helps) and I am 1/2 way through book 2.

OMG, I had forgotten how calming it is, how the ability to escape this world and enter another through another persons writing, how it can hold your attention as time slowly slips by. The beauty of words on a page mixing freely with your imagination to paint pictures in your mind expanding the completeness of what's on the page, knowing what I see is unique to me and no one will ever see this world the same as me.

Sigh....and yes tears...it's been so long...

CBD oil... it has returned the beauty in my life...
