"Dickinson said in a 2018 interview with French magazine L'Obs that, despite residing mainly in France, he supported Brexit and voted for the UK to leave the EU during the 2016 referendum.[122][123] In 2021, after the Withdrawal Agreement entered into force, Dickinson said he was angry that British musicians and performers were restricted from free travel through Europe.[124]" like the old saying "Too clever for his own good".

I have a number of friends in England who were the holders of a "Shocked Pikachu Face" when they suddenly found that Brexit meant they were no longer able to take advantage of the benefits of Europe, as they thought they'd just voted the bad bits out like foreigners, beurocracy and red tape.

Still makes me smile to this day.

That Apple has to come to terms with the EU because of the DMA. Our iOS18 does not yet include AI and other functions. 😁

Dealing with a (Chinese) manufacturer who had no legal obligation to supply a replacement part but did so free of charge because it was the right thing to do.

I don’t know if Ovlaim DC ceiling fans are available in New Zealand but they supplied me an out of warranty replacement motor from China because the original one I had on a ceiling fan was making some noises. No argument, no BS, just please send us your address and a new motor appeared.

I would have been pissed if I couldn’t have gotten a replacement part (I have 7 of the same fan through our whole house) but I would have paid for it. I couldn’t be happier.

Sigh. I'm now a failed foster.

Dumb dog just wanting someone to give her a home.

That is a gorgeous dog.
I am glad she found her new forever home.

I guess she's alright.

She's got some security issues and is just generally very nervous, probably from being in foster homes for the best part of 3 years but she's come a long way in the 3 weeks she's been with us. It's good fun working with her and seeing her relax and personality come through. Once anyone walks her she really unwinds and becomes very smoochy.I'm particularly pleased the kids are enjoying walking her, anything that gets them outside is good.

We'll get her there, our old dog was a nightmare until we got her properly trained, and was extremely relaxed and obedient after a year of work. At least Bella doesn't have puppy madness to deal with.

Still a dumb dog though.

Just had something arrive in Wellington in about 19 and a half hours from Sydney. Can't usually send something within Wellington that quickly! It was shipped about 4pm our time yesterday and arrived at 11.30 this morning. Even an "overnight" delivery from Mighty Ape often struggles to actually arrive next day.

Even better it was something free I was redeeming from some reward points so haven't paid for an express delivery or anything. Looks like it arrived at Auckland at 4am this morning and left DHL facility at 5.40. Arrived in Wellington 9.22 and was on the courier van at 9.56. Would usually expect it to take at least a day or two to get through Auckland customs processing.

I'm assuming the drink, and that you haven't been shovelling grain and got yourself the affliction that it's named after? 🤣

The great sense of satisfaction and the “Aha, yes, of course!” moments that come from doing and completing a particularly tricky cryptic crossword puzzle.

Right now, a pair of suburban tui doing their ants-in-their-pants tui thing, jumping around in the tree right outside our first-floor family room window. Often only 1/2m from the window and three metres from where I’m sitting inside.

This morning I smiled, did a little dance, and maybe let loose a Yahoo.

I didnt get a chance yesterday to see if the clock in my new car would automatically change for daylight saving.

It did! Not straight away, but within a minute of turning the car on, it zipped ahead an hour, all by itself.

Not sure if this was a function of the car, or because its linked to my phone.

Either way I'm pleased.

Just the oven and microwave clocks to go.

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
