I've been watching an old Britcom, with the first few episodes on DVD. I was enjoying it so I ordered the remaining episodes from the UK. The delivery estimate was next week, but they turned up today, just after I watched the last of the episodes I had.
The truly phenomenal Swiss cheese fondue ‘Moitié-Moitié’ with simple but authentic AOP cheeses, homemade last weekend.
There was NOTHING left in the ‘caquelon’ and not because we didn't have enough. Winter can come here.

Oh well,
Suppose this should be ,' something small that makes you smile', embarrassment from posting something already posed. :-)
Full marks to kiwifidget for getting off the mark first.
Being able to answer a question on StackOverflow which has been unanswered since 2017. The problem was related to something I am doing for work.
(I found the clue to the solution deep in one of those text based mailing lists, posted by a university professor back in 2009.)

Good on you. I'm not able to contribute anything meaningful to sites like StackOverflow but answers from years ago help me pretty much daily and I'd be sunk without them.
Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21
The dog coming home after a long walk in the heat and collapsing like she's been shot.
She'll be chill for the rest of the day.
Being able to have a hot shower, although it's only been a couple of days. It's the things we take for granted.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I see they are cancelling Emirates flights in and out of Dubai. Are you guys going to be stuck if this war escalates?

I am not a cricket fan per se, though one of the most riveting and exciting games of sport I've ever seen was our Semi Final in in NZ a few years back.
I ended up watching some of the womens T20 cricket world cup over the last few days including NZ's win over India, an unexpected break to their 10 test losing streak.
Sophie Devine was instrumental and it was just a lot of fun to watch. I enjoy the shorter format a lot more.
My wife is in hospital for a small operation.
She is in a private hospital, as it's covered by health insurance (thanks, Health Insurer - you're really earning your premiums this year!).
The single private room is a like a small hotel room crossed with a hospital room. The staff are incredibly attentive. The meals are amazing. nothing is too much bother for the very well staffed facility.
I feel like I want something cut off or reconfigured, so I can have a stay there.
It makes you realise how woefully understaffed and underfunded our public hospitals are when you visit one of these establishments.
But it makes me smile that my wife is gettig such good care and attention.

Agree, but the thing is private hospitals don't run emergency rooms, intensive care wards, nor do they do high risk operations, long term care, etc. In effect they take the "easy" stuff, sort of how other private companies who compete against councils/government services just take the cream off the top and leave the expense for the tax/rates payers.
