Ordering something from Amazon and paying the cheapest/longest delivery-time courier cost - only to have the package turn up just outside the timing of the most expensive/quickest option. smile

That often happens. I bought a partial replacement cover for a Harmony One and was given a choice between expensive new and pristine, less expensive slightly used, and very cheap battered and bruised. I chose the latter. It arrived new and pristine.

Yeah ordering from China and getting the item in 1 week feels so amazing

Especially when it's normally 4 weeks

About half the time things from China arrive faster than things from Auckland.

I have had stuff delivered this year from China, HK, Singapore, MANY States of the USA, and Australia ALL faster than items I have had shipped from inside NZ.

Many things make us smile throughout the day. Just one? The smell of coffee. I would say that I have an addiction.

I saw a vehicle - I think it was a Camry - where they'd removed/rearranged the letters so it simply read "Toyota Car".

A young one in my family got two Marigold plants from a nursery and two bowls. Nice.  She tells me they arent doing well, so I visit and have a look. She took the plants out of the tray and put them in the bowls which are bigger. So there is a half inch gap around the sides.... I had a silent chuckle. They are wilting (for some reason....)  So I packed them up with potting mix, gave them a few small waters to spread the moisture and two hours later they are normal! She's happy. Small things like that are very small, but very cute too.

The way long-time-member-but-infrequent-posters crawl out of the woodwork here when freitasm sends out a 'Geekzone giveaway ' email.  Everyone loves a freebie.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

That my niece who already completed a nursing degree and had a good paying secure career as a neonatal nurse, gave up that security to do a Bachelor of Midwifery which she completed today. Not a particularly small thing, but it really made me smile. From ear to ear, for her!

Bit of a waste of unused letters - could have been My Toyota Car.

Could also have considered:

Racy Atom Toy

or

Tarmac Toy

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

The way that my youngest daughter says 'Good morning' to me every morning. Sweet, sing-songy tone, lovely.
