floydbloke:

The way long-time-member-but-infrequent-posters crawl out of the woodwork here when freitasm sends out a 'Geekzone giveaway ' email.  Everyone loves a freebie.

Maybe the chances of winning should be weighted by number of posts and/or recency of posts? wink

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

The way that my youngest daughter says 'Good morning' to me every morning. Sweet, sing-songy tone, lovely.

lol, I could pretty much fill this forum with stuff my kids do that make me smile. I am a lucky man!

I think my friends have precognition.

Me: How many holes am I going to have to hunt for when setting up the branches on my Christmas tree?

One friend: Zero.

Another friend: Four.

Reality: I assembled the tree in one fell swoop without having to hunt for any of the holes. Then I knocked it over and four branches came out. Commence hunting.

We have an OCD cat. When he wants to go out he gets very agitated but only one door is acceptable to him. It doesn't matter how anxious he is, he won't go through any other door. Only the correct one will do. When it is offered he shoots outside with enormous relief. He doesn't have this issue when coming in, though. Then any door will do. But woe to anyone foolish enough to open the wrong door when he wants to go out.

Won a new model macbook pro (accidently - just due to a placed order with the automatic chance to win something without further action). Passed it to my son since I refuse A-products for several reasons but he took it for a movie project in school.

His smile made me smile.

Discovering that you can actually make proper phone calls on an LTE tablet. I had no idea it was actually just a giant phone!

Buying business shirt online and finding after it's been through wash and dryer that it doesn't need ironing.
(it's supposedly 100% cotton, and not advertised as wrinkle free)

Finding out your subwoofer has developed a fault and will be very expensive to fix, to finding out it was only going to cost less than half to actually fix it AND give it a nice upgrade.
