The buyer did not loose any money, just did not get the item, was actually ps2 games, but I think you right, was could be a bug, because after won, the program offered for me a chance to incrase the price If I want to. I tried to tell to TM on that time, but they only care my fault of course.
Look, happened long time ago, I can't remember every details, but defenetelly was a chance for me. If I don't have a chance to think I can change anything, I won't do it.
I know what you think, ether way you shouldn't, you right!

You're confused with the Fixed Price Offer (FPO) which allows you to make offers to the watchers and bidders (including the winner) after the auction closes

Thanks for the advise! I tried already ask them to keep the second account, doesn't work.
The TM Terms of service doesn't say you can not create another account never!
thanks anyway

You should read the Trademe Terms of Service, because you apparently have not done so.  See the following clauses, which you have clearly broken:

  • 3.3 Termination of membership: Trade Me reserves the right to decline to register or to terminate your membership without entering into further discussions with you. Without limiting the foregoing, Trade Me may terminate your membership if a serious complaint or multiple complaints are received about you from other members, if you breach these terms and conditions, if you impersonate another member, or if we, at our sole discretion, deem your behaviour to be unacceptable. Members who have registered under multiple aliases will have all of their aliases disabled.
  • For auctions, you must sell to the highest bidder if the reserve price is met. You must only sell to a bidder who is not the highest bidder after reasonable attempts have been made to contact the winning bidder without success.
Whether the system accidentally mucked up and offered you the choice to make a fixed price offer, or the system deliberately offered it in case the sale fell through, you violated the terms that you should have read prior to using the site by using that function to circumvent a sale you thought was undesirable.  Then you violated the rules again by creating a new account, and tried to claim that your second account which you created in violation of the rules was evidence that you can... er, follow the rules.  It doesn't work like that, sorry.

I can not see why I can't make another account if the first one deleted already, I did not have multiple accounts, only one in the time.
But yes, I know I should have sell the item for the highest bidder!

Read the above. Its cant be any clearer.

Termination of membershp. They have the right to terminate your membershp. And you agreed to this twice.

This is getting painful. Are you for serious or just trying to troll?

Regardless of how many times you say it here that you want to follow the rules, it won't change the Trade Me rules and it won't make it any easier for Trade Me to let you back in.

If you managed to get these many bad feedbacks in two accounts I suggest you simply stop trying using Trade Me, as it seems you are not prepared to conform to the practices and make happy customers there.

Are you being deliberately obtuse?  Members who create multiple aliases will have all of their aliases disabled.  TradeMe disabled (not deleted) your first account, and you created a new alias.  A clear violation of the rules, and the fact that you continue to argue against this indicates you really have no interest in accepting responsibility for your mistake, and just came here to rant and blame someone else.

FFS Leximus, you have behaved dishonourably with your buyers, breached your contract with them and they have lost, if not money, then the benefit if their bargain. Put it another way, if they now have to pay more for what you agreed to sell them, in law they can get the balance off you because you breached your contract. Put it in number terms, you agree to sell a game for $40 and then renege then they can only find it for $100 then you owe them $60. Simple maths, simple plain honest dealing.

That is not a simple mistake, it is plain cheating and you are rightfully banned. I do not want to have to go on trademe and deal with shysters. Good on them for banning you.

Exactly. But I would put a little bit of blame on the buyer as well - there is no way I would even look at buying off a seller like Leximus, the OP - with that negative feedback percentage, that's shocking.

I think there is a financial loss, as the seller was contracted to provide the goods at $1. So whatever the difference the buyer end up paying for those goods, is the loss they have incurred.
I think if the OP doesn't understand this, they need to do some research on contract and auction laws in NZ.

Only if the buyer was willing to pay more for the goods than the $1 - it may have been an impulse buy but the buyer is happy to move on without it.

I've bought a lot of items off Trademe because they were cheap - not because I needed it. If I was outbid then I wouldn't say I suffered a financial loss.

IMO I think a permanent banning is a bit harsh - plenty of other traders have done similar things, got a red face, and moved on. Plenty of other traders have had multiple accounts and Trademe haven't banned them (they may have closed the other accounts).

Then what about traders that illegally sell a DVD without a NZ Classification sticker - a breach is NZ law (not just Trademe policies)? Should we slap a permanent ban on them as well?

Or sellers who use keyword spamming, or overstate postage costs?

Having said that, for TM to put in place a permanent banning I think there must be more to the story than asking for more in a $1 reserve sale.

I know its annoying... And its one of my pet peeves with TM. But this is actually allowed as it is a stated cost of which they haven't changed upon your purchase. You are allowed to cover Postage / Packaging / Handling in the postage costs.

But it does grind my gears when someone charges a ridiculous amount to send something.
