Here is a link but it seems unclear whether these facilities are used by the collection points in NZ and if so they would have to ship them to Europe

My experience in NZ with grade 6-7 plastics is they get shipped to China...

They're aluminium.
There's no plastic, so they won't be getting shipped to China with the plastics. :D

So got my $65 credit to purchase coffee from their cashback offer
Purchased the machine (orange inissia & aeroccino 3) from farmers for $99.

So $99 - $65 credit = $34 for a $300 machine, I am very happy.

Just ordered the welcome 150 capsules starter pack and also got a free Bonbonniere Capsule Dispenser after the $65 credit the capsules cost me $75 :)

no its not a very good machine, it very weak in terms of power.....you seem to get more water than steam with the steam wand

They did not, I logged in and put something in my cart and then notice there was a $65 credit.
I did however already have an account I made when i was filling in my form as it asked for a membership number.

You have to add something to your cart and get a few screens in before you see the credit.
The credit is not shown anywhere else.
I had to get up to the stage just before my address to see it

On a related note, I know someone who's interested in learning how to make good coffee at home, not someone wanting to be a professional coffee puller, and now he's mentioned it I'm kind of interested myself. I see there are courses run by a lot of local coffee producers (Emporio, L'Affare, Mojo, Ripe...) as well as some polytech type places.

Has anyone done a course like this in the Wellington area that they would recommend?

I got into the home coffee thing myself for 4-5 years now and have never looked back. I didn't go through any courses but rather read helpful forums like coffeesnobs.com.au and watched youtube videos and then lots of trial and error. You learn far more from doing this than attending a course I reckon. Most important is freshly roasted coffee beans, not supermarket bought that has been roasted months ago. Beans lose their flavour 1-2 weeks after roasting so anything older than 2 weeks , you dont get the full flavour. You can have the best barista using the best machine and grinder but if you gave him/her supermarket beans you will get crap coffee. Find a good local roaster to keep your supply going or get into home roasting like I have done which is really the next journey for enthusiasts. Second most important is the grinder-yes the grinder not the machine, the machine comes third. Spend more on the grinder than the machine if you have too. You can have a cheap grinder and $3000+ machine and you coffee will still turn out crap. Mazzer/Compak/Macap make good grinders. Once you have the above and a Vibiemme/Rocket and imprveo your skills, you will churn out coffee that beats most if not all cafes. I rarely buy coffee anymore because once you have tasted the good stuff you make at home, everything else tastes terrible!

Goig to buy mum one for Xmas I think. Looks like I will be going for an Inissia. Hoping the red will go down to $200 sooner rather than later.

I got a yellow Inissia from JB Wairau Park on Friday - it was their first birthday thing.
They had Yellow only (obviously not a popular colour), but it was only $149, and after cashback , $74. Don't care what colour it is at that price :p

Didn't place the order just yet because I am wondering what pods I need to buy also.

There is lots of different brands out there not sure what to buy.

Need to be able to make a cappuccino with the pods.

Anybody have any recommendations?
