I've fortunately not been subjected to this.

However I do end up with a large number of corporate email addresses as almost every customer project site I've been at gives me an email address. Some of these are corporations with tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of staff, so there's generally quite a few with my name and I end up getting lots of emails to the wrong me.

Seen some pretty juicy stuff too. Or I would have if I read them but naturally I would *never* do that! ;-)

Ones that are obviously sent from some backend system are the worst though - for example I've let virgin broadband and that jeep dealership know multiple times they have the wrong address but still keep getting them.

You can easily set up Gmail rules to deal with these; set up an auto-reply-and-delete and let their robot talk to your robot.

Oh I know... but much as the idea of a gmail robot war appeals to me 8) the problem is that most of them seem to be sent from a "no-reply" address. So bouncing something back does nothing. In these cases I've tried contacting both through their support\contact us details but both just seemed to ignore it.

I have consistent emails for a guy in the states.

I probably have enough info now to take out bank loans in his name. I have SS#, home address, phone #'s, family details, the works.

I canceled a dentist appointment for him a while back too. I figure, if he keeps doing it, I'm going to have some fun.

Once you have his DOB you can get yourself a birth certificate and passport!

Pretty sure I had it. The dentist web portal had a LOT of information. I changed it all (set his address to "stop using my email a-hole), canceled the appointment and lost the password.

Now I want to set up noreply@mydomain.net, list the address all over the place, and set up a bot that asks them why they can't read, or gives a mock reading test, or something!

Ive got a guy in London and one in Texas who are constantly signing up for things using my gemail address. Apparently I have a directtv account, shame the geo-blocking does not allow me to access the streaming tv, but I wonder if I can order another set top box.

No problemo... have your robot Cc its reply to every email address at their domain that you can find ;)

Me too! I've cancelled car appointments, all sorts, all with the explanation "this muppet is using my email address"

No one has ever written back.
