Come down my way, and I'll fill your ar$e with buck shot.

Blackbirds are one of nature's gifts.

You must be a miserable sod not to like them.

They are introduced, so in this country more man's folly than natures gift.

I'm picking your family were introduced too.

All humans are introduced from that perspective ... even Maori.

What really annoys me is when Blackbirds sing in the dead of night. Maybe it's because they have wing problems but why don't they just get over it and learn to fly. All their lives they've been waiting for this moment to arise, so just get on with it FFS.

Spur Winged Plovers do that. They seem to delight in flying around in small groups in the middle of the night, squawking their hideous noise. If only I had a shotgun with a night vision sight...!!

Wooooosh! Something just went right over Geektastic's head - it might have been a blackbird, but it could have been a beetle...

It coulda been Mr. Kite?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Be careful, don't tell it anything and don't let it see your passwords etc. It is part of their Force Recon unit.

Apparently they ain't in fact "... Plovers ..."! The modern preferred descriptive name seems to be Masked Lapwing

Wife has a continual battle with her "pet" blackbirds. They follow her around the garden and redistribute the garden mulch back onto the lawn or concrete. There is one in particular that sits on the fence and watches what she is doing and then moves in as soon as she leaves.

I had a blackbird become obsessed with its reflection in a window. I tried everything to stop it bashing the glass. I finally had to install an unnecessary screen to stop the reflection. After that the very irritating bird lost interest and went away.
