Replacing 1 month old LG V30+ with broken screen
The year was 2000 and I bought my first mobile phone the Alcatel Onetouch Easy DB. I hated this phone. If not for the fact it looked like a playskool toy or that you could only text in CAPITALS.. arghhh
I finally came to my senses and in 2001 I bought the legendary NOKIA 3310. I could now feel unashamed when using my phone in public and spent hours of time trying to beat my high scores in snake and Space Impact. It also would vibrate off my bedside table in the morning and was indestructible. This was truely an epic phone BUT everyone had one... I didn't want to be just another guy with a 3310. I needed something that would stand out from the crowd.
2002/3 and after watching James Bond - Die another day I knew what needed to be done and got my hands on a pre NZ release unit of the Sony Ericsson T68i. My first ever camera phone. I felt like I was in the future. I could email and take photos (with the camera attachment) and the looks from people on the street were of pure shock and awe when I used it. Had I made it? Sadly not, I had to give the pre-release unit back and my life began to fall into a downward spiral.
After the hard downward spiral I picked myself up, and in 2004 got another Nokia, this time the Nokia 6234. By this time all phones had camera's and email, mms blah, blah blah and I went through a a few years of just getting what I would call boring phones. In 2005 I had the Motorola V360V just to change from Nokia but in 2006/07 again went back to Nokia and got the Nokia N73 which was bulky but in it's defence had a great camera.
But I'm now working corporate, going to work suited and booted everyday. I needed something that was more "business time" (not the flight of the conchords business time but you know what I mean) so in 2008 I got my hands on what I would call my very first "Smart Phone" the Blackberry Bold 9000. I felt like I was in the future again. This phone did everything I needed it to do and more. I laughed at the iPhone 2g and 3g/3gs early adopters and still felt I had a superior phone. Mine had a physical keyboard after all!
Then the future truely arrived in 2010 my eyes were enlightened... I finally switched over to THE FUTURE and got an iPhone 4, then an iPhone 5, and then an iPhone 6 but now I feel like I've just been going back to the future for the last few years. I thought there would be no other, I said no to the Samsung Galaxy's, the Google Pixels, just NO TO ANDROID.
This leads me to this moment, could this be the turning point in my life....the big "Ah Ha" moment... could a pure Android Nokia phone be the new future and make my life complete? Can a apple fanboy really truely in his heart of hearts switch to Android and be satisfied?
The truth is, I don't know until I try one. I'm willing to switch - so please geekzone, hook a brother up!

Would be to replace this beautiful piece of design - Nokia Lumia 735.
Still a fantastic phone with a great camera, comfortable to hold and crystal clear display, just getting more and more unusable for day to day apps with Windows Phone now essentially abandoned.
A Nokia with Android would be the very best of both worlds for this person.

I am the "proud" owner of a 2015-vintage VF Android Smart 6 with only 8GB of memory - which fills rapidly.
I find the user interface un-intuitive and user-hostile.
Battery dying.
Now very slow and unreliable (constipated memory?).
I'd rather spend money on a new phone rather than upgrade the memory of my Smart 6.
