It's giveaway time again!

Spark is bringing the new Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus to New Zealand and to celebrate they have provided two of those handsets to giveaway. We will collect entries in this thread and select two winners, who will receive one handset each.

These beautiful handsets are part of the AndroidOne program - you will be getting a pure Android experience, seamless updates and more! They come with Android 8.1 April 2018 Security Update pre-installed and are not network locked.

Good luck to all entries, thanks to Spark for arranging the prizes!

How to Enter: You just need to reply here with a story about the phone you will be replacing with a new Nokia 6.1 or Nokia 7 Plus. Double entry if you post a photo (upload the image to Geekzone and use the BBCODE provided). Be creative here folks.

General rules: one entry per user only in our competition. Two winners will be randomly selected. One will receive a Nokia 6.1 and another a Nokia 7 Plus. This giveaway is open to NZ residents and closes Friday 1st June 2018 (New Zealand time). Winners will be selected in a random draw and contacted via PM. After confirmation we will post winners' usernames in this topic. Once confirmed winners will receive the prizes via post. Winners must be registered Geekzone users by the time this competition was posted.

Ok, here goes...

I'm looking at getting a Nokia for my wife to replace her sh!t Huawei P8 - had been planning on an 8 before I read about the 7+, so still deciding between the two. Keen on the guaranteed updates and Bluetooth that actually works - the two worst 'features' of her phone.

I've got a Meizu Pro 5. Originally came with Ubuntu OS but that got discontinued so I flashed Android, and now I'm stuck with Android 5. Would love to be on a modern version of Android with quick updates!

Nolkia was my first phone.

Ahh the joys of connecting my Palm 3e via a serial cable to the bottom of a Nokia 6210 to the big bad internet in the very early 2000's in the small town uk on my OE.

Grey scale images only but helped coping with the depression of living in employer provided "accomodation..." in towns my  London based friends never visited.

These you whippersnappers with their 4G megabit download speeds dont know their alive I tell you...

(PS Smashed the screen last week on my HTC 10)

Ok this wouldn't be for me but for my wife. She's not a huge fan of her Samsung J1 Ace but she used to love her old Nokia. Happy wife, happy life!

It’d be replacing my Meizu 5s as I’ll be returning my work iPhone 6 when I relocate overseas.

My wife's Samsung S7 which has been repaired twice already to correct a frozen state problem is now faced with a dying battery, not too dissimilar to the Huawei Nexus 6P battery problem. So, it's time to get it replaced - one of these would be ideal!

Say hello to the wifes HTC One M7 - 5 years old, on its last legs but done a decent innings.

Old age is showing.

Blind in one eye: Front facing camera doesn't work

Dementia: Random reboots

Chronic fatigue: Poor battery life, gets very tired fast, needs charging twice a day minimum.

Long term memory loss: 32gb storage is busting at the seams

Computer illiterate: supported apps are becoming far and few between.

Wife needs to let this one die peacefully in a side draw, its time to let go.

EDIT: About that Alcatel one touch in the top right... that's her emergency phone when the HTC does the random reboot, Also ITT so many wives with dud phones LOL

Need to replace my wife's iPhone 6 with dead Home button (though she got used to AssistiveTouch) and half-dead battery.

My Samsung S3 still performs well.  Several years on the same battery because I bought a spare just in case.  If only!

Huawei p9 lite would be retired.

Having owned a Nexus many moons ago would love to get back to stock Android. One for the week, one for the weekend...?

My last Nokia... would be nice to try another :)

Currently using an LG G6 which has been awesome but unfortunately has a cracked screen which is annoying me no end :/

EDIT: I'm reminded by a few other posts that I actually had a few Lumia's before Microsoft bought them, so I guess the above is not my last Nokia. Awesome phones and Win Phone was actually a really good OS. *sigh*
