At this particular moment Tanita Tikaram Twist In My Sobriety.
Yep, never got tired of listening to this one, love it every time

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Brings back memories of Sunday arvos in a beer garden, in any Queensland pub , in the 80's.
I'm on Fire - Springsteen. Memories of Hawkes Bay pub, in the 80s, weekday lunchtime, decided to skip going back to work.
There's nothing quite like music to take you back to a time and place.
It just came on whilst listening to a Classic Rock station out of the US and I realised I know every little bit, bob and word, including drum track and guitar licks (listening not playing), so here it is:
FAT BOTTOM GIRLS - Queen.
It's ridiculous, rocky, fantastic.
Handsome Dan Has Spoken.
Handsome Dan needs to stop adding three dots to every sentence...
Handsome Dan does not currently have a side hustle as the mascot for Yale

I am a big DS fan but never liked that song myself. I love the albums as far as Love Over Gold and then all the ones after that changed too much for me to enjoy them - they somehow lost something of the original quality and became more radio play commercials.
If it was DS, I would go with either Romeo & Juliet or Wild West End I think.
Although at the moment, Industrial Disease might be more apropos!
One of my favourites of theirs is Private Investigations.
And let's not forget "A long time ago came a man on a track, walking thirty miles with a sack on his back ..."
Just sitting down with a lockdown wine to audition a new playlist ...

Iron Butterfly IN A GADDA DA VIDA
I'm just getting to this thread and someone else may have said the same thing but I want this song at my funeral (along with Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd), purely for the chuckle factor I'll get thinking of the Simpsons reference.

The first time Jenny Shipley's husband was ever interviewed, he also opted for this song as his favorite.
He never again gave an interview.
nzjez: My favourite song always changes .
Right now its Neil Finn doing a cover of David Bowies Hero's in one of his at home concerts on you tube.
Pertinent for these times.
heapsort:Not To Say by The Holy Toledos
They were a Christchurch band in the early 90s during my university undergrad days. The core members were also in an Irish folk band called The Finnegans, and there were a few songs shared by both bands including this one.
That's a tough one. If put in terms of "If you could be known for having written and performed one song before you go to the grave, what would it be?", I'd say Billy Bragg's "Levi Stubb's Tears."
The War of the Worlds" Theme (Live performance)
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding : Ice cream man , Ice cream man
It's tough... struggling to think what the track would be as music appeals for its different moods to suit mine.
The theme song from Duck Tales is pretty much near the top of my list though.
