EviLClouD: I see Mightyape is selling unauthorised authentic shoes now…is this allowed?

Parallel importing is legal in NZ.

Has been legal since the early 2000s.

Personally I think it's a good thing if the company selling them is good about warranty. Eg the warehouse used to sell a lot of parallel imported stuff which was great since the official channels used to rort consumers even more than they do now.

Unfortunately smaller players that import high tech stuff are usually less interested in honouring warranties some times.

Good on them, footwear is one area where we still get royally ripped off by the local "authorized" sellers - and the shoe companies are real PITA about sending to reshippers just to prop up their inefficient overseas resellers.

Its one area where Kogen seem to excel in, sourcing items to parallel import so I hope to see a whole lot more of this happening.

I pre-ordered an item from them and it has been in stock for 3 days now and they still haven't shipped it. Kind of defeats the purpose of pre-ordering. When I contacted them about it, they just said it would ship "soon".

In the past they have always been very reliable for me, so it's quite disappointing.

The new website is so, so bad. They're getting absolutely ripped to shreds in the Facebook comments section - I don't think I've ever seen so many complaints in one place - but showing no signs of any intent to revert back to the old site.

The express shipping options are only showing for me intermittently. That's also happening to a friend.

Shame the prices are so low but that's about the only reason why I'd continue using them going forward.

I had a nice experience with their service when I claimed warranty for my phone case a few months ago. But ever since they launched the new site, I can’t even go to view my past orders and website experience overall is just lacking.

The new site has continuous scrolling. Seriously screw whoever invented that.

It doesnt work properly, it seems to get confused with multiple tabs being open and will show the same things more than once, or else it will just stop well before you have seen everything.

Totally agree the new website is complete garbage. To login into your account its multiple clicks. Search is poor. Why change something that worked??

There doesn't seem to be a way to filter games by "new releases", "best sellers" etc. any more, and everything's just jumped together now. Those were the pages I probably used the most often.

They've been watching Trademe for website development tips - how to remove functionality and frustrate users in 3 easy steps ;-)

Did my first order on the new MA site the other day..... said product was in stock and would be delivered next day (Primate membership), so hit the checkout etc.... next day no email advising order was on its way or anything. Thought it was a bit odd... so logged back in and found the order was marked as being available 05/12/24!!!  Sent a request to cancel the order, and they queried as to why I wanted to cancel - told them and they did it immediately.

Think the new site still needed to be QA'ed before going live ;)

They must be bleeding cash like no tomorrow at this rate.

Who thought a month or two before Xmas to revamp their store front (aka website) should be let go.

Why not do this post new year's? In fact why not do nothing at all? 😂

Yeah, I had that.

Also I was buying something and used the SAVE10 code from cheapies, and it seems that it may have taken it off before the afterpay payment went thru because my savings showen on the order went down and seems to just be the primate shipping saving.

I've never really understood what are people buying on Mighty Ape. It's been more expensive or no-stock for nearly everything I've looked at for years and years.
