bazzer:
Byrned: Solar panels have almost halved in the last 12 - 18 months, but they're not expected to drop by much more.

That's a ridiculous thing to say.? In what time frame are they not expected to drop?? It's almost certain that at some time?a technological improvement will bring the price down.

I guess I should have elaborated a little more - based on current technologies they are not expected to drop much more. That is to say scale of economies of manufacturing are getting close to their peak.

Cool.  Maybe I put too much hope in future tech.

It can be quite surprising how fast those hopes and dreams turn into reality.

Just thinking about those gadgets coming out of Star Trek ;)
