at the moment i have to use my wifes aspire 5542g, only when shes not on facebook, I would love a machine like the tablet on offer, to keep the peace in the house.
Well I first got my wife into the 21st Century when I convinced her that an iPhone was the way to go. She loved it so much that I finally quit my trusty old Motorola V3X (man I loved that phone) and bought an HTC Desire. At 67 years young it would be nice to be the first in our family to have some new tech gadget rather than follow everyone elses lead.
A tablet would sure make them all realise that even wrinklies can keep up and best of all its Android.
Heck - we just got our first wireless modem so I guess this would be the icing on the cake.
You can never have too many gadgets I have decided.
Currently the owner of a Moto Milestone pictured below:
I would adore a tablet - especially an Android one. Primarily for looking on the net and to try out some of the new touch screen games.
Over the past year I've become enamoured with Android. My Milestone has been rooted, re-flashed and re-imaged so many times I've lost count. It's been backed up, bricked and restored dozens of times - overclocked beyond the worst nightmares of the developers - all to unlock the true potential of the phone (but mostly because I get bored easily and like experimenting)...
Hi would like the tablet to replace my current portable device, as you see its about as old as the ark and i plan to gift this to a place of history so that my kids one day may see it or even view it on what ever new device that Acer made in 2030.
So in summery i would like this tablet so that i can retire my Ipaq and gift it to a place of history.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
I'd love an Acer Iconia as I'm not fond of continuously singeing my leg hairs with my overheating laptop just to check out stuff on the internet. I miss my leg hairs :(
currently have a latop (an acer funnily enough) and an iPhone so i need something to fill the gap between them. something big enough to bowse the net but something that does not take 5 minutes to boot up and burn my leg after about 10 minutues. (Stupid fan exhaust location).
Wow - would love to have a tablet (especially this Acer). It's funny how you don't really know how much you need something until you have it for a while and then someone takes it away. Currently i don't have a huge need but if I had one then it would become another of my appendages for sure. Would complement my work issued smartphone and could also use it to entertain the kids - reward style for a job well done at sports say.
I had the use of an iPad recently and found so many uses it nearly caused a devorce in our house. The concept of pad computer is fantastic for both business and entertainment.
The best geeky app is Penultimate. Going into a meeting with a laptop to type up notes is so boring and uncool it turns everyone off. But taking a pad into a meeting and making notes using a pen on the screen is ultra cool and impresses even most un-geek people. And it's even useful by emailing a pdf of your notes to have a permanent record.
