For reasons I won't go into, I just tried to open Microsoft's home page using Internet Explorer 5. It gave me a message saying that they don't recognise my user agent, and that they think I'm a bot. It amused me to see that Microsoft doesn't recognise its own browser!

Our new iQ (wow!) kitchen oven is doing a software update before I deactivate its wifi again. However, it will no longer work after an atomic pulse (EMP), which the old one would have been able to do. πŸ€£

It even has an AirFryer function, which we don't use at all. Fortunately, the really important functions don't need an app. But it manages 30~300*C, energy saving and pyrolysis. πŸ‘

This failed test made me smile. The test actually succeeded brilliantly. It did a perfect job of demonstrating that the thing it was testing didn't work! Well done.

The talented young singers and performers at an end of year school concert. They sang accompanied by a $4mil Steinway. Only problem was the piano was so loud drowning out the young voices, but we all clapped and cheered them even though couldn’t hear a word. Takes courage to stand in front of an audience.

My little elderly dog.
He's very suddenly gone deaf, after a visit to the vet for an ear infection.
Stone cold deaf.

Doesn't seem at all bothered by it. In fact, if anything he seems slightly more content with life.

He's a funny little beast.

Deaf to your calls AND the rattle of the food bag?

So here I am making my first-ever post on my ' new'  Elitebook, just purchased on GZ! It will take awhile to get used to Windows 11 and get rid of all the crap I don't want, but the laptop itself seems very tidy, hence my smileπŸ˜€.

My new mobile phone contract for little money. I'm surprised it's not already completely free. 🀣

I've been after a new notebook for a while, and when the Snapdragons were released I was super excited. Upon release it was all a little disappointing given the performance hit you get running compatibility mode. Lunar Lake was announced and those look fantastic, though some elements of performance are not as good as I had hoped.

I am obsessed with weight, but very light laptops (<1.2KG) with 258v processors are super expensive. Lenovos April sale managed to find me the almost perfect 2-1 with a lovely OLED screen, and the desired config, albeit without the super weight, and I was able to secure $1500 off .The new notebook arrives in a couple of weeks.

This is the biggest generational jump for notebooks in many years, I am super excited by it.

I was sorely tempted by the Asus A14 Elite. I saw one at a Harvey Norman, 980g! Unfortunately, no touch screen etc.

Recently, the word ‘deal’ has been appearing more and more often in adverts.

Whenever an offer pops up with it, I'm automatically out, no matter what it is. Already the bad word of the century for me and perfect anti-advertising! 🀣
