My schizophrenic mutt when I put on my socks at walk time. She follows me around so closely she runs into the back of my knees. It’s very funny.

Ours (red lab x) is a bit like that but it applies to shoes, hats, jackets, adding a layer or getting changed in general.

Dogs are awesome for the fact they require so little to make them happy usually. I don't get anywhere near the same reaction when I show my kids the leash 😂

Skipper found a pack that must have slipped out of sight after yesterday's shopping. He found it this morning, ate it and left a puddle of water on the kitchen floor: 400g of finest Japanese tofu!

I would never have thought that he would eat something like that - luckily the stuff is completely safe for dogs.

Finest and Tofu have no business being in the same sentence I'm afraid.

Finest food contains no traces of tofu.

The Japanese word for tofu, 豆腐, actually contains the character for "rotten" (腐).

Some call throwing a piece of meat on a grill ‘haute cuisine’, others smile about it. I prefer the latter - they have a broader horizon. Like our dog, Skipper. 😁

Speaking of dogs.
Played with the Chat GPT prompts to join the trend of "making toys from pictures"...

Quite impressed with the result, if I am honest.

Very simple prompts along with uploading a picture. Made me smile.

I had a small collision last week in which my wing mirror was cut clean off and flew off. Only a trim strip on the other vehicle was detached, nothing more. Apart from the loud bang and a scare, fortunately nothing else happened, as a small 2-year-old child could have been involved. We calmly agreed to let the insurance companies sort it out.

Then the police arrived. They tried to ‘construct something’ out of it with three men. After that I thought to myself, well, it looks like it's all your fault and I'll have to pay for the damage myself. Until the other party's insurance company called and told me that they would pay for all the damage. I am pleased that the facts were not distorted by either side, despite the police's attempts to manipulate me with leading questions, which I answered bluntly with factual, technical answers without any tactics. 🙂

The various Shelly interfaces, be it on the devices own web interface or via its cloud interface.  So simple, fast and LOTS of buttons to explore and play with!

Our NZ tax returns are filed for another year. I'll probably be less happy when I actually have to pay the tax but it's nice how easy it is to do a tax return in NZ.

There's very little point. Collating the information is what takes time, actually filing the return is trivial
