Actually the names of the dwarves are stage names ordained by Disney to sanitise their public image. The original names are these: Cock, Creepy, Doper, Lumpy, Slappy, Trashhole, Sleazy.

Once again I’m not sure if you’re joking here. According to this website

“The first time the dwarfs were given names was in the 1912 Broadway play, produced by Winthrop Ames. And what were those names? Blick, Flick, Glick, Snick, Plick, Whick, and Quee.”

Later Disney settled on the names we now know, for the reason you state.

Not particularly informative to most of us on here who can’t read German.

Chrome provided a translation. I didn't get it. @Tinkerisk you can guide us through that one. I have a feeling it might be similar to a joke I'm familiar with ending in the punchline "A TANK!". It was hilarious at the time it seems not so fun now although I guess Ukraine would appreciate one or two.

Well it‘s written PHOTO there, not TEXT and it‘s one of those (once) feared German WW II Wolfpack Uboots we still have. 😀

The joke was that we Germans (who are all Nazis anyway) were already trying to conquer the world again with the old (famous) stuff.

Rare shot leaked of Television Match Official and his ‘bunker’ team controlling 2023 RWC games, searching for errors and misdemeanours, reviewing yellow cards for upgrading to red, etc:

Not at all relevant to any other threads:

Two kiwi rural-type chaps are leaning on a fence out in the back blocks when a backpacking tourist on a bike stops in front them.

The tourist asks them, "Entschuldigung, sprechen Sie Deutsch?"

The chaps look confused and shrug.

The tourist tries "Che ne dici dell'italiano?

Another shrug.

"Et le français ?"

Blank looks.

Frustrated, the cyclist rides off.

One bloke says to the other, "Did you ever fancy learning another language?"

"Nah, what's the use? That guy spoke three and it didn't get him anywhere!"

I tells the SAME joke in different German slangs (with kyrillic subtitles).

I pirated a movie yesterday.

I gave it 3.14 stars.
