Oof. Realistic view of what it's like to be a US soldier on duty in the Middle East. Unpleasant, at times very boring and mostly pretty dangerous and stressful.

It's bloody, stressful, tense and well made. Typical Andrew Garfield stuff, really.

Me too. The movie's got all the pieces a good movie needs except a resolution at the end. It's ends in an underwhelming way that left me just ... meh .

Pretty fun gangster movie. You have to like Vince Vaughn, the movie is paced around the slightly slow way he speaks. If you don't you may feel the energy gets sucked out a bit.

Good way to waste 2 hours. Unfortunately, the ending has some of the feels sucked out of it by the setup for a sequel.

I'll watch the sequel.

Michael. I walked out. Easily the dumbest, most shallow and the most boring movie I've seen in at least the last 5 years. Hard to imagine it's directed by Antoine Fuqua of "Training Day" fame. Feels like it was written by an LLM and directed by Michael's CGI chimp from the movie.

One Battle After Another - 5/10 Perhaps I am not cerebral enough, but I couldn't get attached to the story. I couldn't care about the characters and I kept wondering when it would finish. Not terrible, just not great.

Probably totally the wrong place to mention it, but one of my faves, watched (again) a few months ago now, is getting a 4K release - Forbidden Planet.

The Sheep Detectives; Prime Video; 8/10

A lighthearted tale about sheep, who decide to solve the murder of their Shepherd in rural England.

Very entertaining viewing for a wet and windy night; and a great voice cast.

I didn't mind the first one.

The second one was less enjoyable, but if you took out your brain and suspended belief, it worked for what it was.

The third one is borderline unwatchable.
