freitasm:

The amazing treatment at the Wakefield Hospital in Wellington during my stat there this week.

And for that matter, at Wellington Hospital a couple of years ago, and Bowen Hospital before that.

My experience with these three hospitals have always been good.

Palmerston North hospital....yeah... not great.

When I was in hospital in London UK, a Doctor who saw me and chatted with said he did 6 months there a few years before and he said "I am sorry"

I KNOW of medical people who would chose to drive to Wellington and say they were spending the day there when this happened so they could get treatment.

My incision, originally indicated to be required at between 12 and 15cm, was only 8cm and is already ahead of schedule for healing.

The nurse today at the hospital was kind, gentle, understanding and professional.

Receiving a text (after a missed call, as I was in a meeting) from the Cancer Clinic to say that my biopsy results are back and it was benign. No further treatment required.

Phew!

Thanks.
Weirdly it feels somewhat anticlimactic, which is frankly ridiculous, considering the alternative!
Got it early before it could develop, was the underlying message.

No it hasn't.  It's still November.

😁 Here it has and here is November as well. I have already spent Christmas in Bangkok and Saigon, but never ever in the southern hemisphere. 😉

WOW!

Hamburg really goes overboard for Christmas. If we win Lotto, we will be there.

It's the 25th today, so only one month to go.

What is shown is real, but when viewed in daylight, it appears less multimedia-like and more inconspicuous. In the evening, and especially when snow is falling, the atmosphere really comes alive. And it will be much more crowded.

A solid firewall and CrowdSec. There is nothing that cannot be broken into, but you don't have to leave the key next to the safe. 🙂

My ventilated jacket. Powered by a little USB power bank with 2 fans around the lower sides. I've been replacing decking on a 6×7m deck and have been able to manage 5-7 hours out in the hot Northland sun. Without the jacket, I'm totally drenched in sweat and needing to take breaks every half hour.

The difference a new battery makes to an ageing iPhone.

My battery was at 84% battery health and had 960+ cycles, so was at end of life.

iPhone kept getting very hot and was quite laggy, as well as not holding a charge for that long.

Today it cooked in the car on the wireless charging pad, so I took it to be fixed. Ubertech did a genuine Apple battery replacement and since collecting it, I have noticed it's considerably less hot, even after charging, is far more responsive and is decidely less laggy.

Like a new phone, almost!

Makes me happy that i didn't have to go out and spend $2k+ on a new one.

My can of shave foam advises that I need to use eye protection during use.

I'm confused?

Is that while foam dispensing,  application,  or removal? Or a combination of all 3 ?

My boss has gotten us tickets for day 4 and day 5 of the NZ England cricket test at the Oval next year. Seeing NZ play in England has been a bucket list thing for me so we’re very excited to go, hopefully the tests last at least 4 days.
