Labels and tags inside shirts.  They are always scratchy.  And generally sewn on in such a way that it's near impossible to remove them completely as it's the little corners that stick out of the stitching that scratches the most.

Probably because your not good at writing there language?

Have taken a few domestic flights the last week or so, and the thing that really annoys me are the people who seem to think the rules don't apply to them.  Air NZ states (and constantly reminds us) that their is a limit of one carry on item per person, and "this will be strictly enforced."  Except it never is.  On every flight I took there were many people with two or sometimes more items.  And not just a backpack and a shopping bag - two suitcases, duffle bags, etc.  Why do people think that rules are just for other people, especially when everyone else has to wait while they try and crowbar their barely legal baggage into the overhead locker, and then wait again while they try and lever them out again at the other end.

And on that point, why do people insist on unbuckling the instant the plane stops moving, and rushing to the aisle, when it's a good 5 mins still until the door opens.  And what's worse, people from the front of the plane (when the door is at the back), leaping up and crowding the aisle meaning everyone else who is closer to the door has to wait while they move (and usually carrying extra pieces of baggage).  When flying with my four-year old, she started to stand up when everyone else did, so I reminded her, in a slightly louder-than-usual voice, that it's polite to wait for people behind us to leave before we do.  But it's hard for her to understand that when there are so many selfish people on the plane.

I guess the whole standing up as soon as the wheels stop rolling thing is the same issue that a lot of people have on the roads - they must be first, and if they aren't first it is a serious problem and will really stuff up their day.

On a plane, I always stay in my seat until the queue actually starts moving, then I get up, grab my stuff form the locker and merge into the people already moving to get off the plane. hopefully that is a nice way to do it.

Yep, that's what I try and do too.  Those closest to the door have first priority, then everyone needs to exercise basic courtesy.  If you're nowhere near the door, get comfy and wait your turn...

You're allowed one carry on item, and one personal item. But yes, even that is often blatantly abused.

Our standard allowance

 

No matter what type of seat you have on Air New Zealand, you can bring at least two bags on board with you:

 

One carry-on bag which can weigh up to 7kg (15lbs). It needs to be able to fit in the overhead locker or under the seat in front of you, and its length, width and height must add up to 118cm (46.5”) or less.
Plus one small personal item such as a handbag, duty-free bag or a slim laptop sleeve, which must be able to fit under the seat in front of you.

 

A large laptop bag counts as a carry-on bag.

And that's fine.  Often people have done shopping at duty free, or picked up some donuts.  But lots of people are bringing on a full size backpack (stretching the definition of a hand bag) and a hard shell suitcase.  I'd really like to see the airlines properly enforce this, and stick one of their extra bags in the hold (charged accordingly).  People will soon get the message.
