An Antonov AN-124 is on it's way to Auckland as you read this.  It would be cool to see that in person.

Any idea why it’s coming?

It's not defence force related as I understand it. Probably a private freight carrying mission.

I bought my LaZboy recliner around 2012.  It's endured my >100kg carcass for all that time and finally developed a fault in the reclining mechanism.  I took it to the local authorised repairer.  He rang the NZ franchise owner.  They checked my details and the chair serial number and confirmed immediately that it was covered by warranty.  Outstanding after sales service.

Online Tax Return. 😎 Nothing in return, but nothing paid either. 🤣

That the Wife is on the way home after seeing Scotland, England, Dover, Calais, Dunkirk, Normandy, Then Paris to go for a few days, before the Emirates A380 Business Class home via Dubai & Sydney layovers.

Shouted her sister for company (She is travel savvy) Luckily the flights etc were booked before the Iran incident!

The flights were only about 20% of the trip. (2 x Business Class) Had and A380 from Christchurch to Dubai (Via Sydney) and an A350 to Edinburgh.

They both rated the A380 & A350 highly.

She now has another tick on her bucket list!

The novelty value of my new Coffee Machine.
I recently had to replace my De Longhi that I wasn't all that enamoured with.
That coincided with a sale on the Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier which took it from $1100 to $600

It's got the ability to do a multitude of things and it's a real joy to use. It has real novelty value, but it's also able to make a pretty good coffee with minimal input.

It weighs the grind, calculates the brew and whether you have your grind size correct etc. It can also "auto froth" your milk...and it does it really well!
I really like it so far. It's already taken a hammering. I have 4 people in our household who drink coffee regularly and it's been working overtime.

The fact that the (German) administration—following constitutional complaints against Peter Thiel’s analysis software from Palantir—decided against using it for police online investigations. Instead, a European (French) company was awarded the contract.

Adding a low-cost tablet arm and Bluetooth keyboard to your tablet makes things a lot more ergonomic.

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell
