Passing my Class 6R CBTA on Tuesday. 👍🏻

A very intense experience. I did 90 minutes ‘warm up’ with the instructor/examiner, then a 20 minute break before the assessment proper.

We rode for another 90 minutes in Christchurch rush hour traffic. Worst was a right turn out of a side road into a dual carriageway with very heavy traffic: trying to time a gap in 3 lanes of traffic made me sweat! IRL I’d just have turned left and gone to the roundabout down the road to turn round if I was riding in that sort of traffic. It would have been quicker and safer! However the exam is the exam.

L plates in the bin though so yay. 🥳

Got new tyres fitted to my car this week. I always insist on tyres that are less than 12 months from date of manufacture as I pay good money for quality tyres and I normally get 70K+ kilometres from a set so they last me 5-6 yrs. I rejected a set once that were 4 yrs old and the tyre centre manager got really shitty with me but I stood my ground.

Anyway, I checked the DOT date stamp before driving off and all 4 of them were stamped 2425. Yep, they were 11mths and 2 weeks old.

That would be correct. Much discussion around the place with many wanting to wait to be able to get a true physical release as they do not have a constant PSN account that they use and do not do digital purchases, which a code in a box is despite getting a box.

I'm a Windows Steam gamer, and R* haven't yet announced when the PC version is coming out. By past GTA releases, it's usually anywhere from 8-18 months after the console versions, and for good reason.

Should have to do that anywhere really, so many people driving around on rock hard econo crap that they have been lead to believe is still save because it has tread on it. Good luck on a slick road with what is basically so hard that its about as grippy as a teflon pan.

Whilst awaiting my new glasses, I have had to make do with my broken glasses, taped together.

They fell apart in the office this morning, so I wandered down to my local Specsavers, who discovered that the arm was broken, but the attachment at the hinge was still intact, so they searched through some similar frames in a box and were able to put on a (not identical) arm, to get me through - completely free of charge.
This means I now will have a spare, spare pair when all of my orders come in - so I can keep a pair in my bike bag for when I am out riding and need to read something.

I had to look this up, it means week 24, year 2025.

Ctrl-E in Excel

There’s no function in excel like =URL() to get the hyperlink on a column of cells. Instead, copy the url and paste it into the adjacent cell then use Ctrl-E to get excel to pull them out for you.

Can then use Excel to generate a favourites list for importing.

After that I can just start typing a small portion of the entry into the address bar and it instantly comes up.

Unless there’s a better way to deal with management of hundreds of devices that don’t have central management or each individually need signing into for other reasons.
