Count Binface being the only rival candidate in Nigel Farage's by-election. It'll be even funnier if Binface actually wins.

Air frying half a frozen pizza for 5 minutes at 190°C: perfection, short of using a pizza stone and wood fire.

Son's girlfriend occasionally brings her dog over to visit.

Our little dog is incredibly territorial. Except with this guy.

They are best friends and largely ignore each other after the initial excitement of seeing each other for the first time in over 1000 years.

The old boy loves going for a walk with his friend too, which is funny as he's super antisocial, whereas his friend is incredibly friendly.
Very cute and makes me smile every time.

Pizza stone in my Weber gas bbq is awesome. It has a certain "stone oven" finish, somehow.

Terrific response from Voyager in actioning my request to have PTR records assigned to my static IP addresses.

I'd have done it years ago if I had known it was so easy.

Its funny how dogs choose their friends. We had a Jack Russel that was very friendly with humans but didn't like too many other dogs. He was about 8 inches tall and about 6kgs. When he was a puppy his best friend was a 60kg Great Dane who's head came up to my chest when she was sitting. Watching them play together was hilarious, especially when they grabbed each end of the same stick.

Good.

Having 10Gbps internet. It's totally pointless but still makes me smile.

My Goldair radiant heater from Briscoes. Thank God for it on these freezing mornings. Heat pump is on full 8kw but this wee thing on one bar of 400 watts makes your body feel real warmth. Don’t know how we lived without one for so many years. NB it doesn’t warm the room, it warms you.

Daughter passed her Restricted driving test this morning (first attempt). She asked me to sit in the back as apparently a parent in the car moderates a picky examiner, or so she says.

After the long test the examiner gave her a stern telling off for a couple of errors then switches to grandad mode and says "So should I pass you?". She says yes! and he says "OK then!"

I thought the examiner's demeanour throughout and after the test was excellent.

You've got me googling seiza and zaisu. I'm getting ideas. I think I might be re-theming something soon..

When my daughter did her driving test the examiner said she didn't look both ways at a railway crossing. She said she did and even spotted the railway worker sitting by the track having lunch. She passed.

She's no shrinking violet. Good on her.
