Just literally finished watching RED with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Richard Dreyfuss to name a few and have to say it was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little humour with their action movies.

Please note the humour is not too much but enough to make this film enjoyable for those that are not too big on action movies.

+1 on that recommendation.  Very enjoyable movie with many very talented actors, even a NZ'er Karl Urban in a main role.  Great action, story and in places funny as hell

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

What i watched while sick over the past week.....

Expendables - 6/10 - Great action scenes but fast forward through everything else.

A-Team - 4/10 - Found it very boring actually, even the action scenes were nothing new.

RepoMen - 5.5/10 - I never actually watched it to the end. Story was ok, action good but they kept on dragging it out, everytime you thought you had reached the end, another escape route becomes available and it would go on....and on...and on...and on... and...oh, yet get the idea.

Iron Man 2 - 7/10 - Just a typical sequel to a great first movie. Enjoyable but wouldnt miss anything by not seeing it.

Iron Man 2 is an excellent pic, with lots of tie-ins to the comics. I understand it may not be as good as the first one to non-comic fans, but there's a lot of hidden gems.

Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3 (aka Jaws 3D as there was a 3D release) and then The Revenge Smile

And while watching shark movies, be sure to check out the Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus trailer Tongue out

Jaws was the very first movie i ever saw at the theatres. I was a baby at the time so don't remember it from the theatres but seen it a few times after that. If you like Jaws you should check the Pirahna movies next.

Pirahna, Pirahna 2 i think was called flying killer fish then i think there was a pirahna 3 then the new one that's just at or just finished at the theatres. Which i might add has been green lit for a sequel.

After those movie delights you go on to crocs and aligators Lake Placid is a good one with 2 sequels there is a older one possibly called Aligator about one that got washed down the sewers.

Then the snake movies Python, Anaconda 1, 2 i think a third was made (just read a article about a 4 metre Boa (or maybe it was a anaconda) found in the Amazon.

Once you've finished those then Spiders Arachnaphobia and Eight Legged Freaks (possibly a sequel to the latter).

After all the living ones watch Pet Cemetary to wrap it all up. Maybe Cujo unless you don't like dogs then Cujo is definitely one to avoid hehe.

I would have to say though if your checking IMDB ratings before watching maybe you should add up each category of film before watching as I'm sure you could get to at least 10 by doing that for each creature genre and a 10 is the best you can get.

ok i managed to watch Jaws 2 and Jaws 3 last night.

2 was alright, not much action or mayhem, the shark didnt seem to be in it all that much, felt like only a couple minutes of screen time. the first was 10 times better. i liked the fact that didnt try to say the shark was bigger than the first one (which was 25ft)

3 was, err, apart from dennis quaid (or harrison ford jr), it was pretty blah. silly story and the 3d effects made the movie in 2d look rubbish, everything had a big thick black border when trying to do 3d, and made it look extremely cheap. i was watching the clock on this one, wanting it to end. stupid how they made this one 35ft

im hoping the revenge will be better...

at least theyre pretty short movies.

Really ? We felt it was very average and sat there waiting for something exciting to happen....

PA2 looks a bit better.

Watched The Social Network, pretty interesting. Didn't quite understand the reviews saying Zuckerberg was portrayed as selfish and money hungry, just seemed to me he was a geek that wanted to create something massive. I'd give it 8.5/10
