Handsomedan: I was giving this some thought over the last couple of days and decided I would love to see Logan's Run, done in a way that made it not just up-to-date, but more like the way that GOTG was done - high production value, plenty of action, lovable characters and a bit of camp humour thrown in.

I fear that any remake of Logan's run that modernised it would also bastardise it as well.

I would hate to see it will "shakey camera" effects, or trying to make is "cool" or more relevant to a new audience.

If they could resist that urge I'd actually pay to see it!

Top of my list too, mostly because the original movie was so poor.   The difficulty is that the action in Dune is few and far between.  There is hell of a lot of internal monologue in the book, and a lot of dialogue, political stuff etc.  It would need a very clever director to bring it life without making it too dry.

MadEngineer: Dare I suggest it, Dune

I would love to see Stephen King's It made well.  It is also possibly too abstract.

Anyone for a remake of Krull?  Could be a project for the Pyjama man.

Krull? There's one I haven't seen for a while. I guess if it's done right it'd be okay.

Same with Dune, but I think that would need to be done over two long installments to do it right.

be careful what you wish for...

i actually liked david lynch's dune, many fanboys thought it was blasphemy.

years' later when the sci-fi channel amde a multi-part, more faithful-to-the-book version it was equally panned.

maybe someone should stump up a gazillion dollars for jodorowsky to finally make his version of dune ?

I would love to see a remake of Till Death Us Do Part, but doubt they have the balls to do it nowadays. And if they did, it would only be a mere shadow of its former self, such is the political correctness we have to abide by nowadays.

I'd never heard of it, but having just looked it up sounds bloody marvellous lol. Anything that makes people like Mary Whitehouse get their knickers in a twist is my kind of viewing!
