Just when I thought I was on to a winner, now looks like it isn't going too well!

Anybody know who this social media chat session is with?  I've had a package delivered from amazon.com on Sat 4th March and it's still not showing for me...and of course the tracking number doesn't anything under the "claim your parcel search".

It was DM with a Youshop support rep from Youshops twitter feed.

A package was sent from somewhere in the US 2-3 days ago, I just got the email from youshop. Seems good to me. I chose the economy delivery option for $12.50 for a small parcel, should be here in a couple of weeks.

There's a bug in the youshop web interface though. You can't send the package to an address on your list of addresses, you have to enter it manually. I emailed youshop with the bug.

My package that was sent on the 11th turned up this morning just as I got to work.

.

...that said, 14*9*19 is still under 0.500kg

I got charged for 14 x 10 x 18 (=0.504kg)

I filled out their on-line contact form requesting a credit last night and attached the photos.  Supposedly they'll get in touch with me before COB today.

curious how it'll go, keep us updated.  i suspect it'll take at least a couple of days to get a response.  if you need to respond to them further, then you have to wait around 24 to 32 hours generally it seems.   (ie if you email them at 8 am, you might get a response at 4 pm the next day).  more like 3 days+ if it has to go back to the US..

Well how about that.  I got a response back at 8:39 this morning with an acknowledgement and an apology, but they do want another photo showing the weight  (sounds a bit odd, the photos I sent them clearly show their own tracking number so you'd think they would be OK with the 300g that the US warehouse weighed it at.  Anyway I haven't opened it so I'll pop it on the kitchen scales tonight and will oblige them).  They also ask for a bank account number to deposit the refund, I'll ask them to donate the $3.50 to the SPCA instead.

I'm mildly impressed.

I was about to have a bleat that I hadn't heard back from them and then decided to check my GMail spam folder.  It seems that making monetary deposits is difficult for them, but fair to say that their compensation offer exceeds the $3.50 I was overcharged (by about 500% cash equivalent).  i will make an appropriate donation to charity myself.  Everyone wins.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Geektastic: You Shop have p**s poor tracking too.

My current parcel shows as "at International Departure" on 10/3 with zero updates in the 7 days after that!

I haven't used Youshop for at least 6 months and apparently have one parcel on the way and two delivered. I've actually had three delivered and when I click the "On The Way" tab the screen says I have no parcels on the way - apparently it may not have been sent yet or it may have already been delivered. Definitely somewhat flaky in the tracking/update system.

My youshop panel says two on the way. I actually only have on the way, and only one is listed when you go into the detail tab.

I paid for economy shipping recently, it looks like it's going to make it here in about ten days. Pretty good for $12.50 for a small parcel.

I've done a couple of economy parcels with YouShop recently. Things have gone much more quickly and smoothly than I expected - I expect somewhat slow especially from the economy service.

The most recent one

  • It was logged in by youshop the day it arrived
  • I paid 19th April, economy service, $12.50
  • It left their warehouse 20th April
  • It arrived in NZ and cleared customs 24th April
  • I expect delivery in a couple of days

The one before

  • It was logged in promptly
  • I paid 22nd March, economy service, $12.50
  • It left the warehouse 23rd March
  • It arrived in NZ 29th March
  • It was delivered 30th March

IMHO Youshop shouldn't be though of as an express service, it's a budget service that for me has generally worked well.

guys how long after a package is delivered to yourshop oregon before it shows up on your account?

also with the oversize service do you have to book or do you just ship it there and they will know to apply oversize rates rather than the standard rate?

Supposedly the standard is up to 72 hours. My last shipments took over 6 days.

6 days to show up in your account after receipt at warehouse?

That's correct - tracking shows it was signed for and delivered. I made enquiries via twitter DM and they said the investigate only after I sent them an original invoice with sellers logos and tracking details before they would investigate. The only tracking info I had was from eBay as they were purchased from private sellers. By the time I had argued this they showed up in my account.

Read a few pages back in this thread - it is all there.

Hi this is a long shot - anyone has the email address for youshop UK?
I've got a parcel arrived on Thursday but it can't be found on youshop. Doo they take longer than youshop US? Takes them only 1-2 days weekend or weekday the same.

You have to wait at least 3 working days before contacting them

Yes but that site is a circular merry go round with no destination. You follow the click trail and it goes round and round.
