I know I'm going to get some "WTF?" replies, but I have to say that all Coke tastes the same to me. I usually drink Dr Pepper at home these days.

I find bottled (plastic) coke to be really inconsistent. Sometimes it has the Coke flavour (hard to describe), but sometimes it just tastes very sweet without much flavour. Cans are far more consistent and much better in general. Not really sure why the bottled coke tastes great sometimes, but terrible other times. Pepsi always seems to be the same flavour each time. Please tell me I'm not crazy and someone else shares this view.
Not a fan of any of the reduced calorie options.

Sparking Oh, that I drink a bit. Fully stevia sweetened and I really only like the lime flavour as the rest are too sweet.
Keep buying more of that Sparkling Oh! too please. ;-)
Oh we do. Mostly the lime flavour like I said though. In fact I'm drinking some now.
I find personally that Diet Coke tastes really bad and gives me headaches. The normal Coke tastes nice and I don't have the headache-type side-effects I get from Diet Coke. I'm not sold on the safety of the sweeteners Coke uses on their low/no sugar products (especially given my experience with their Diet variety) so I've stuck with normal Coke. Have accidentally drunk No Sugar (as my SO swears by it) and I didn't really notice much difference but that was mixed with whiskey anyway.

Aspartame is about the most studied food additive in history, it has not been shown in any reputable scientific study to be harmful in the amounts that one could attain from consuming beverages and food containing it.

Anecdotes can also oppose your anecdote, I get headache-type side effects if I DON'T get my fix of Diet Coke (or similar). Of course that's probably more caffeine withdrawl, but there you go.

I have no issue with the safety of Aspartame, it has been studied to death. But I too am in the minority that finds it has a really nasty aftertaste. Appallingly foul.
I don't drink much coke. But when I do, it's the full sugar classic for me.

Funnily enough I was only reading a study the other day that "conclusively proved" that there was no correlation between Aspartame and all of the many health issues it's claimed to cause. If I can find it, I'll dig it out and post it.
I have an opposite effect to @KiwiSurfer - I get violent stomach cramps from Fat Coke and can only drink Diet Coke - I like the flavour more too, but that will be because I have been drinking for decades.
The ones that are artificially sweetened, but made to taste like Fat Coke make me feel queasy, but I think that's the placebo effect of the taste - I know what Fat Coke does to me, so I expect the same from anything that tastes the same or very similar...

The taste of sweetener is a really interesting thing. Before I stopped drinking the stuff completely I decided to go cold turkey for a few weeks (but then got sucked back into it again). I didn't particularly notice the metallic taste drinking it daily, but once I'd given up for a few weeks and tried a Pepsi Max again the metallic taste really was noticeable.

Agree that the flavour can be inconsistent. I guess it depends on how long the bottles have been on the shelf.
Another factor - Coke tastes different in different countries. They use the local water supply to make the product. So, if it a great water source, then it is quite refreshing. Was in China for a while - not as refreshing....
Had some of the new Stevia coke yesterday and I was impressed, it is a passable version of Zero,
Although whether it actually makes any difference compared to the Aspartame based version is unclear.

I was in KFC the other day and the woman in front was getting really frustrated. She wanted Coke Zero but staff said they didn't have it - when she asked why they had a big image of Coke Zero on their postmix machine they couldn't really answer.
Some idiot has decided putting a No Sugar sticker over the top of the Zero tap but leaving a big picture of Zero that they don't stock is perfectly acceptable.
It seems that McDonald's has the same issue (sorry, I didn't get the whole dispenser as I felt a bit strange taking a photo of it, but I assure you that there was no nozzle for Zero):

It never gets stored or transported correctly. People have no problems respecting wine or beer storage etc, but for coke - nope, dont give a crap. Leave it in the sun, etc and think it will all be fine.

Yeah, I got a no sugar from there without knowing it was gone once and thought there was something wrong with it. What annoyed me the most is that they didnt tell me they didnt have coke zero anymore and just swapped it over. If they had told me I would have got something else. Now I just get a chocolate shake. Always found the coke zero was more consistant on the postmix, whereas full strength coke was often watery as anything, and when its not at the right ratio its very very gross.
