New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter in Tiwai Point to reopen fourth potline, creating 32 new jobs:

Improved metal prices and a fixed power contract have meant a previously closed potline at the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter will reopen, resulting in up to 32 new jobs.
...
The fourth potline was shut in April 2012 because of historically low aluminium prices globally but a combination of factors made it possible for the line to be reopened.

"The two main factors were being able to get the power that we needed at the right price but also on a fixed contract. When we turned the potline off, it used to be run on spot power, and that was too high risk proposition. This contract runs through to the end of 2022. Metal prices have improved slowly but surely over the last couple of years, with a bigger hike this year," she said
