Eva888: We are not talking about Ghislaine Maxwell here, we are discussing Virginia Giuffre who through unfortunate circumstances in her early life and time on the streets in her youth, chose of her own accord the life she led among the rich and powerful.

If you ignore Epstein and Maxwell then why not ignore Andrew as well?

Epstein and Maxwell are a fundamental part of this.

I've always personally thought he was guilty - I read somewhere that he can't on one hand claim "I don't know her at all, don't remember meeting her" then turn around and say "Epstein's deal with her means I'm not liable". If he didn't know her, why would he care about the deal she made with Epstein? It all seems very suspicious to me, not to mention the "I can't sweat" thing which is very odd. Not helping his case is that really bad interview he gave, which he thought went quite well; the reality was quite the opposite.

I think it highly unlikely he would win any court case, and it would (unfairly) hurt the Queen as well, she had nothing to do with this but is being dragged into it by association.

Geektastic: One interesting question is this:

If the woman in question was indeed being exploited and didn't like it, why didn't she ask Prince Andrew to get her to a place of safety and call the police? Where he goes, the police close protection officers also go, so there were police within shouting distance.

Prince Andrew is certainly a person that enjoys the company of women, based on past reports. However, I find it difficult to be overly sympathetic to the claimant in this case.

Yes, why would this person who was being exploited by a powerful and manipulative person not ask one of the associates/friends of said person for help.

As I said. There was a member of the police within earshot. She could ask him.

If Andrew was a shelf stacker in Tesco, we would be hearing nothing about this.

The Labour MP for the City of York is agitating for Andrew to be stripped of his ‘Duke of York’ title. They want no part of him and say the association demeans the city.

Probably the same reasons kidnap abductees don't go asking for help when they're in public with their captors.  The same reason women in domestic violence situations don't leave or ask for help.  The same reason why you need a Shielded Site service in NZ where domestic violence is prevalent.  This is a well understood phenomenon.  Stop victim shaming and blaming.

I'd suggest that the reason he doesn't remember meeting (and screwing) her is that she is just one of many...

If true, that is quite depressing - even though there's clear photographic evidence that he did meet her (and I don't think it was faked, either, despite what his supporters might want to think).

That channel is worth a watch for the detailed analysis of official police interrogations of some notable murders in recent history. The analysis in the video you've linked is very loose though, if it's the same one I watched the other day. It's mostly opinion.

Indeed - JCS appears to have reuploaded the video from a ~30 minute video now down to a 6 minute video... a lot of the key observations have been lost in my opinion.

What do you make of this? I don't really understand this process:

NZ Herald: Ghislaine Maxwell, who has recently been found guilty of sex trafficking, will no longer protect the identity of eight men who allegedly had sex with minors that she procured for them.

According to one of Maxwell's lawyers, the convicted trafficker will no longer object to the identities of the eight "John Does" from a 2015 lawsuit being made public.

It's a good thing for sunlight. Other than that it seems odd that Maxwell is somehow involved in this process.

All 8 of them are already dead, or it's retribution for them not having her back.

Either way, she'll soon become depressed and commit suicide, by shooting herself in the back of the head from close range, while simultaneously being strangled with the rope she made from bedsheets and will also suffer from a depressing case of electrocution, which is entirely understandable.

Well, she’s doing her best not to end up there -

Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal team was poised on Wednesday to file detailed documents requesting a new trial following revelations that a juror may not have disclosed childhood sexual abuse during jury selection.
