What is your current broadband connection (xDSL, fibre, satellite, dial-up): 2degrees Gigabit

Do you have a gaming setup? I did, but the GPU died, so now I just sit at my desk, and pretend to game with this in hand:

How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming? I might actually be able to save up for a new GPU!

Currently on Voyager Gigabit and *super* happy with it. I would likely donate the year's free connection to our school, which has some kids without decent internet at home šŸ˜ž.

The gaming package on the other hand would be very welcome by Not-So-Little-Miss MDF who is currently very interested in stepping up from console peasantry to PC gaming.

Current Broadband: Trustpower

Current Gaming: Laptop & 24 inch monitor

Advantages of Fibre: More speed is better than the 50Mbps (even though they market as 300Mbps :( )

Hi,

- I have fibre via Vodafone.
- I have a laptop with reasonably high performance (but Linux so limited anyway) and a Switch
- Fibre Pro would help me download the game I will play 2h before getting bored faster, but it will improve my non-gaming experience too.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

2Degrees Ultimate Unlimited.

Modest Gaming setup, nothing special.

A Fibre Pro connection would allow me to purchase that UltraSharp 49 Curved Monitor I've always wanted :)

What is your current broadband connection: Orcon

Do you have a gaming setup? No

How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming? Reduces ping, faster response, reduces gaming lags.

Current gaming setup - don't really have one, so anywhere on a couch.

I'm currently on a Slingshot Standard Fibre Package, and have had Orcon in the past, so changing to them would be OK.

I only play Bejewelled 3 and a few other of that sort of game, and don't have a gaming facility, (except for a "high quality" keyboard and mouse), but would give the package to my 28-year old grandson, who would really enjoy it and spend hours on it when he should be doing other things. 😊

I was with Orcon from 2015. I wasn't a geek yet so I was more than happy with their fibre 100/20 plan with 3 months free the, I think.

When I became a geek 2016 I found out Skinny had a better deal so I jumped with them and I was a bit annoyed with Orcon's 12mn occasional disconnection then.

2019 I moved back to Orcon because I wanted their promo then of Apple Tv. The 12mn was still there but it was lesser. After the lock in date I tried to sign up back to them but they have nothing to offer so I jumped to 2D 900/400 fibre to enjoy the best free modem/router I ever tried, 12 months Amazon Prime, and discount for having my PH with them.

If Orcon can match my power rates and 9pm-12mn free from Contact I would probably move to their Fibre Pro to avail myself with this promo.

This is my current gaming set up. 2600X/1070ti would love to update this to a 5800x/3080 performance once I could afford it.

With Fibre Pro I could download the latest games like DL2, Elder Ring, Valhalla faster faster which all sizes up with huge downloads. If I win that free internet 1 year then that budget that should have gone that way will be used to buy more games or better yet a PS5 so I can play HZD2.

Currently on Fibre (300/100 just recently up from 100/20).

As for gaming, I have a PlayStation 4, but nothing PC wise.

The Razer Pro setup looks awesome as I have a rather cr@ppy chair and my keyboard and mouse are 8 years old if they are a day, so an upgrade would make things usable again!
