People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Stu: It appears they've now figured out how to deal with data for when people have the same name as another property owner, and we're no longer listed as owning multiple properties.

That’s the nice thing about publicly available information. There doesn’t need to be a record.
I think there is a difference between public information that people can scrape together for their needs, and just a quick dump of information.
Those that have a genuine need will put in time and effort to gather the information from disparate sources .
QAnon and its ilk won't, nor will they validate the information to ensure it is accurate. We can already see the consequences of this in drive by shootings using mistaken identity/wrong information.
What happens when someone is evicted by a letting agency and they decide to take vengeance on the owner. Would you be comfortable knowing that the information may incorrectly identify one of your family members because they have the same name ?
People who are angry, delusional, mentally ill, etc act on impulse .
But I am sure that when something invariably goes wrong, the site owners will maintain their anonymity and just post a template "opps, we will do better" statement
Yep, looks like they have redacted all names, so website is effectively useless now.
Stu: Perhaps they've started working on a way to hide details of people owning less than a certain number of properties?
If they truely believed that people had a right to know, they would not be hiding behind anonymity themselves.

Who defines a "genuine" need? It's public information or it's not. We aren't in 1980 anymore, all manner of data is available to be used in any way the person using it sees fit.
If it's not public information then that's a different discussion.

post-colonial Aotearoa? But thats an entirely different discussion.
I searched my address as we are renting out two properties in NZ, both of them the details are hidden.
Strongly recommend do not search for a property owned by Housing New Zealand Limited. Very... crashy. They don't appear to have put any effort in to prevent the lookup of every single state house in the country which not least for performance reasons they should have done.

That's what it said before the updates. Now they declare a need to "address" the "colonial system of private land ownership" which somehow their website achieves (how?), and frankly is not the cause of wealth inequality.
Although they say it can't be crawled by search engines, there is no robots.txt file and every address does have a unique URL (e.g.), so it looks quite a lot like it is indexable. It's all client-side rendered, but the search engines all render the page these days. I can't see any reason at all that it "is not indexable by search engines" like they say and like the licence requires, and it doesn't look like they've even tried.

BTW there I believe you can request your data not be made public in that dataset (similar to the NZTA) ...
Thanks for that.
