SirHumphreyAppleby:

neb: It's this, seriously undersized push blocks for a table saw.

It didn't have the usual disclaimer stating you should allow for 2-3cm difference in measurement?

That's OK for something like craft supplies where a sheet of something may be cut 1cm shorter but this was clearly listed as 100x200mm not 70x150, that's not a 5% variation but an item that's half the size of what was advertised.

In any case though I've gone for the partial refund for the reasons I gave in an earlier message, that it's going to be an uphill battle convincing anyone who isn't familiar with how they're used that the difference is significant.

Sorry, I didn't intend for the comment to be taken seriously. I see the disclaimer on things that are smaller than 2-3cm to begin with or specified by thread size (plumbing parts), where it makes absolutely no sense.

Exactly the same issue for me with two seperate orders both ex Czech stuck at this point. I have commenced the AE refund process.

Same here, just hit the countdown timer on an item where the last update was Czech Post 1 1/2 months ago for which I've filed a refund request.

You will probably eventually get it. I had a set of clips to hold on the door seal on my car sit in customs for 6 months. I'd completely forgotten about them, then they randomly showed up one day when I was expecting another package.

I came here while looking to see if anyone else had the issue of CZ parcels never arriving.

It looks like a lot of stuff ordered around Jan/Feb/Mar got assigned these Czech tracking numbers (I also had one ending in LT - Post+ Lithuania).

I've had three refunded in full - all low value sub $10 items and have 3 more still within the 75 day window which I'm expecting I'll soon be contesting for a refund. A number of things I've ordered more recently have arrived without incident.

It would be intersting to know what's happened here. Why were all these packages assigned tracking numbers from Czech Post after dispatch? Why does NZ Post tracking show them as being in or sent from Czech Republic while the tracking on Ali Express doesn't? Where are they now?

I've been ordering from AE for years and the only things I've not have arrive were some lithium ion cells which were returned to sender.

I also just received a parcel a few days ago containing an item that I ordered 24/12/22, that was refunded a long time ago. I was super surprised when I opened the mail and saw it.

I wonder if some of these CZ parcels will randomly show up in a few months now.

My very late parcel came from Lithuania apparently. I'm not sure if the AliExpress shop was just drop-shipping, or whether they sent it Lithuania because shipping China-to-Lithuania plus shipping Lithuania-to-NZ was cheaper than shipping direct to NZ.

I have recently been buying stuff from Temu. I like Temu because I got suckered into the free delivery and grand opening sale of 90% off everything.
Plus, they are not charging GST at checkout. They are not as big as AliExpress so you are limited on what you can get.

The prices are slowly increasing week by week as their customer base increases.

But what I really like is that they give you a NZ POST tracking number at the point of dispatch and credit of $5 if they fail to deliver on time.

My third purchase was made last week and it's already in the country and cleared customs.
27th April to 3rd May, I'm expecting it to be delivered by the Friday 5th May.

I will continue to use Temu over AliExpress until which point, they become too expensive, or they start cutting corners on the delivery.

10/10 for FREE reliable delivery (so far).

I had a Czech post one which I got a refund for a few days ago.

I've also had an item delivered to Lithuania, the address was for here but it ended up delivered to a small rural village in Lithuania, I posted about it here at the time. That was more amusing than problematic, they just mistagged something somewhere.

I have 3 with the Pending Customs Clearance message, 2 of which are via Czech Post. Making a claim on the first, most overdue one. Yet to see if I get refunded but Ali pushed decision out till 13th.

Done 3 orders with Temu.com. First shipment arrived on the last day that avoids having to credit me the $5. The other 2 look like being on time as well, according to tracking.

Impressed how quickly Temu ships stuff. Big difference to Ali who can take days or a week+. The $5 credit if item doesn't show within 10 -12days is fun and am secretly hoping a shipper messes up, like so many do.

Making the most of it before GST gets added...

I believe the extended decision date is due to AliExpress pushing dates out during holidays. For one of my recent orders there was a note indicating some sellers may be observing some week-long holiday period.

Fortunately, the order I placed (a re-order to replace something sent via Czech Post) was shipped, and the seller of another item shipped via Czech Post also accepted my refund request.
