Do you not know the importance of coro? everyone in this house knows its on tuesdays, thursdays and sometimes fridays for "summer catch up" lol. I'm gonna email her. and when she's had a think she can call me. I think thats best for both of us, because it won't put her on the spot.

Tell me you don't mean your mother?? Just because not telling someone to their face is easier does NOT mean it is best.
At least your parents need to hear it from you in person. Personally I think you should have been telling your other close friends in person too. Not via chat. If there is one thing you learn it is that chat/email/forums has a lot of limitations. The biggie is that you cannot "see" peoples faces or responses. Both yours and the person you are talking to. There is also the respect that telling someone in person involves.
This is a big step for you and your family. You need to stop putting it off and talk to your parents about it. Quickly as coming out here DOES mean that someone that knows you is going to see it and word will get around fast. I am a parent and I would be gutted and hurt to find that I was the last to be told by either of my children that they were gay.

smac: The other point about an 'announcement' is also quite bizarre. To the best of my recollection I never felt the need to 'announce' my sexuality. Why do you feel you need to?

Straight people "announce" their sexuality all the time because a) it's assumed you are straight and b) when you're out with your wife/gf/whatever, everyone "knows" you're straight.

Are you still procrastinating on this?  I do hope you've told your parents!

It would be just your luck that you were asked out by the one girl who can keep a secret. Laughing

Yes I've told mum. I assume she's told Dad but I can't deal with telling him because I don't want to say something I'll regret if it turns bad.

Lady Gaga shirt? Say like after ever 4 words. Talk on the phone for hours. Life sized poster of Dan Carter or the likes on bedroom wall... lol. I'll try to avoid the bad stereotype.

Hey, don't knock Lady Gaga, you don't have to be gay to appreciate how talented she is.

Also, we don't know if Dan Carter is your type.... Kiss

Slightly off topic, I was introduced to a guy's partner on the weekend.  The partner's name is Bob.  That's got to be the most un-gay name I've ever heard Laughing
