I ordered a 10m optical hdmi cable and a 1x4 hdmi splitter on 30 Nov. Arrived this evening (13 Dec). Was notified it was in-country on 7 Dec and had cleared customs on 9 Dec.

Without wanting to jinx things, my last few parcels have been received in what I consider pretty good time. All have used AliExpress Standard Shipping and I’m pretty much going to stick to that.

I have placed 3 orders in the last ~6 weeks or so, my first Aliexpress orders since the great pandemic of 2020 turned everything to custard.

All arrived in less than 3 weeks, very happy with that.

They were engineering tooling items, sent via Aliexpress standard shipping.

More and more of my separate Ali orders, from different sellers, are being bundled up together and sent in a single bag.
So the individual tracking numbers dont really work , as its all sent on a single tracking number .

Has anyone noticed that Aliexpress has been extremely flaky in the last day or two, being unreachable or 404 at random times? I need to get a replacement electronic load after my current one went into no-op mode but after several tries haven't been able to order it from there.

Can't say I've had similar issues with Ali in the last 2 days.

OK. so my 2 parcels from mid and end of September - never delivered past 75 days of AliExpress protection.

Had to dispute the refunds. got there eventually, but one particular large and reputable seller was an absolute d1ckhead to challenge me on $3.50 item.

Oh that's not good, I was hoping that the Aliexpress Combined Shipping was not going to be used in NZ.

Reddit (/r/aliexpress) is full of Combined Shipping problems, disputes become a major hassle, especially for missing items, since as far as A/express is concerned the tracking shows it was delivered.

Best if you get a combined parcel to be sure and record yourself opening it!

I cant login at work now because one of the many domains it redirects thru for the login process is on some malware blacklist or something and the firewall blocks it. Possibly related.

I've just had bike parts turn up after only 13 days, using AliExpress Standard shipping. Never had anything turn up that quick

Looking for advice. Ordered a carbon fibre seatpost on AliExpress. First time out on the bike with it fitted, the seatpost just collapsed near the top, (and left me with a painful seatless 30min ride home! Great workout for your legs!).

The carbon fibres there look very dry, so suspect it was a manufacturing defect with not enough resin on the layers to give it strength. (The seatpost crushed inwards at the top (crushed under compression), rather than snapping outwards (eg it didn't snap under tension), if you know what I mean)

Unfortunately due to illness at my end, it was already beyond the Aliexpress official dispute period by the time I fitted the seatpost and discovered this problem.

I raised a ticket to the seller who didn't reply for a long time. Several prompts to get a reply.

Suddenly after 6 weeks they replied "give pictures". Which I sent them.

One word reply "broken", to which I replied with info re-iterating what had happened.

Then I got a two word reply "sorry refund".

Now no further reply for the last 2 weeks (despite several messages from me). So this has been 10 weeks now since my first message to them, and I've got just 5 words from them. No refund though.

Any ideas on the way forwards? Guessing this is bad phrasing on their behalf, and they are actually trying to say "sorry no refund"?

It is a pretty rubbish result for a seatpost on its first outing on the bike, and the rest of it looks well built, so presumably is just a defect. But proving that, and getting any further traction. Is this a lost cause, or should I persist? What options do I have?

Thanks in advance.

Since the dispute period is finished, you have no options if the seller won't help of their own volition, and it seems they won't.

Does anyone know what it means when Aliexpress send you an "Item delivered, pick it up at your local post office" notification? I didn't think this was even an option in New Zealand?

It means you should check the tracking and see if the item really is in New Zealand or not (use services like https://parcelsapp.com to get more tracking information). If the item is in NZ, call NZ Post and demand they do their job. If it's in China, raise a dispute as item returned to sender.
