Kookoo:

Does anyone know what it means when Aliexpress send you an "Item delivered, pick it up at your local post office" notification? I didn't think this was even an option in New Zealand?

Sounds like delivery attempt failed because nobody home (eg sig required) - checked your letterbox for a Card to Collect?

By Local Post Office I imagine they don't necessarily mean Local Post Office, but "wherever it is that the parcel carrier in use for your parcel keeps your parcel", for NZ Post that would be the nearest sorting office (which is not necessarily a public post office), for courier's their nearest depot.

Nah, no card, and by now the Aliexpress app has two "failed delivery attempts" on the tracker. Which is rubbish because someone is always at home at our house, even if signature was required (which it isn't). Is there a way to find out who the last mile carrier is?

Track it with a tracking site such as ...

  https://parcelsapp.com/

should tell you who it's with, if it's just typical slow-mail then it'll be NZ Post.

Also https://17track.net is another site that can find parcels across lots of courier and postal services. You might also find more info on who sent with on AliExpress page about the order (but might not).

Another +1 for 17Track. One possible downside is that they update on their backend rather than your phone and push updates periodically so you can't force live updates.

Thanks guys. Got this from both parcelsapp and 17track "Auckland (Porana Rd Delivery), Your item has been successfully delivered"

I haven't been to Porana road depot for a long while - are they open for public again? Last time I went there the pick-up desk was closed due to Covid.

Had the same problem, and there's absolutely no way of contacting them. Does anyone know of a direct line to call them on?

I just received a parcel where the address label was so faint that it was almost unreadable, but NZ Post still managed to deliver it

Not wanting to lay blame here, but leaving direct thermal labels in the sun will cause them to fade. It's summer in NZ, not so much elsewhere in the world :)

Had a multimeter purchased back in July via China post small packet, after 5 months it gave me an update, but looks strange.

Did anybody receive anything with China post small packet recently?

I just had 5 small to medium parcels ordered late November and early December which arrived today.  Was surprised at the speed of shipping.

Those 5 small parcels (from different sellers) were all repackaged in one big bag.

The bag return address is

UCL Co Ltd

Laurence Stevens Drive, Auckland.

Whatever happened in the middle to delay it might well be sorted now. I've had parcel arrive in Auckland, and then get an update on the record from the place of origin (just like yours has), so I assume it is just some authorisation they are giving to hand yhe parcel onto next stage of journey. So in this case, I'd assume your parcel has been in NZ for last 3weeks, and is somewhere in NZ working its way to you. I'd double check everywhere on the account and emails, just in case it gets a NZ Post tracking number (although I doubt it). Probably just need to wait for it to randomly arrive one day! Hopefully soon though!

I would plug your tracking number into the NZ Post tracking and see if they have scanned it themselves yet.
