Mine in Auckland was like a fish market and went on till 11 PM.

I applied on 14th May paper application- haven't had any comms from DIA yet.
A friend of mine applied online in early June already had case officer assigned.
It looks like online applications are now being processed faster than paper applications.

Have Applied in april.. no updates from case officer yet.. when I call them, all they say is they are doing external checks..not sure how long that can take..

Any idea what these external checks are? I mean does that happen before case officer is assigned? I thought that is post case officer assignment process.

Hi all
We’ve applied end of March 2021 via paper application . On Feb 24th we received confirmation letter which we did confirm immediately. Since then no news, so followed up 3 weeks ago which they said they are checking our translations to verify accuracy (we did translate through official translation services but apparently needs to be verified again).

No other news, I only assume (hope) the 2 month timeframe provided for approval holds for us, maybe a bit delay due to holidays.

Question: has any of you had confirmation to approval take more than 2 month? Any ideas?
