The universal replacement of straightforward written documentation with YouTube ‘help’ videos, usually narrated by nasal-voiced mumbling adolescents with no talent whatsoever for on-camera presentation. Is anyone still even able to write? It has become almost impossible to find any kind of on-line reference material that is not in the form of a video. That is already bad enough. The droning inchoate puerile whines that inevitably accompany these make it unbearable.

Pioneers card audio have what's in the box video (3 minutes long) instead of list that would take couple of seconds to read.

The thing that annoys me about the overuse of videos is how long they are. Does no-one edit?

Also, working in a "space". For example, "Bill works in the Change space now."

Stupid job titles. "Dave is the Enterprise Lead on the project and Jill is the Change Lead." You can't be "a Lead". "A Lead" is something you attach to a dog or something a detective follows or something you plug in.

Ive never seen a manual replaced by a YouTube video.

I see manuals put onto CD, put into the UI

YouTube videos or any video that may be on the website offers a visual help.

If manuals were replaced by only a video, I would agree

Closing public highways for cycle races.

Public highways are self-explanatory. Inconveniencing the entire travelling public so that a load of wannabe Tour de Francers can try and prove who can pedal the fastest is extremely annoying.

My rant aside, why does everything have to be a damned video at all? If it is explaining something simple, a few lines of text are better. If it is complex, you either have to take notes, have a good memory, or keep replaying different sections. In both cases written instructions are much more effective. Videos are fine for illustrating actions along with written instructions. In other cases they are more hassle than they are worth, especially when the author is incapable of making a decent presentation.

Your stating your opinions and preferences as fact. Again. Im yet to see anything where the only manual is a YouTube video. There will be people out there who prefer and take more from, a visual presentation. And believe or not, presenters can in fact be sound, ok, fine, and acceptable.

There are always exceptions, and many of us are considerate, whether that be cyclists, motorcyclists, drivers. But the spandex crew appear to be in a world of their own.

They should be patched, like gangs. "I OWN THE ROAD"

Oh dear. Point out the issues with my grandma, seems ok to me.

If you read Rikki's post, it does seem conclusive. A fact. My post I believe is not a cover all for everyone.

I also have no problem with racing cyclists or any other kind. This is popular throughout Europe and roads are frequently closed for it. I often encounter them on my own road and they are unfailingly courteous and sensible, as I try also to be. Motorists in Europe are used to them and behave accordingly. So no issues with any of that but there are certain people here I prefer no longer to respond to, especially when opinions expressed border on the irrational.

Public highways are unsuitable for holding racing events involving mass pelotons. It's akin to closing a public park to hold a clay pigeon shoot.
