k1w1k1d:

We have Paxsters down here on the mainland in Christchurch.

Cool, I'll get to tell my Wellingtonian friends that it's not just Orklanders :-).

Until they alerted me to the fact that Orkland != New Zealand I wasn't even aware that these differences existed. Might send them a copy of Way of the Jafa for Christmas.

Definitely Paxsters in Wellington, but I think more in the outer suburbs, not so much the inner/steep stuff like Mt Vic & Wadestown. Definitely around the Hutt, Tawa etc.

Conversely, I have no idea what a "Paxster" even is.

Half a dozen posts later on the same topic and I still couldn't figure it out  either......googled it......underwhelmed.

Just went to the Post Office (that's PaperPlus where I live) to get some stamps, for postage within NZ, just regular stamps with the adhesive built-in.

Nope. None. Nada.

No stamps, pre-stickied or otherwise, for postage within NZ.

They've been out of stock for over a week, and have no idea when more will be arriving.

Might have to hand-deliver xmas cards this year 🤣

Sounds about right for the company that has problems delivering courier bags to customers to actually use their service.

USPS tracking information:

In transit.

Arriving on time.

Well, it's good to know that there's a tracking service even more useless than the NZ Post one.

Maybe Poxy or POS would have been a more appropriate name 😜

They're actually pretty decent, and a great fit for the job they're required to do. Compare it to the LLVs the US mail service uses, which like a lot of US stuff is pretty much the worst possible way to deal with it.

Signs just gone out for the night works, not on the Christchurch Road Works etc map (As Usual)!!!

I also noticed today... if you look at the Top / Right, the Chinese Consulate have added another camera that looks down Hansons Lane.

Looks like residential properties, I wonder if one of them could be persuaded to host an Arduino-controlled laser painter that writes 光復香港,時代革命 ("Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times") on the camera sensor?

The rear side is never patrolled, a 24 hour "guard" sits on Hansons Lane in their private car and every half hour scans some codes on the Hansons side. Never goes around the back!

I'm not sure that even the Consular General ever stay there! They have several residential properties elsewhere.
