Although they let me fly home they had to check with immigration who then told me that you need an endorsement in your dual passport (rather than the PR visa). This wasnt mentioned when I got citizenship.

@tchart Interesting that you weren't advised.  When I received my citizenship confirmation email it was quite explicit that my residence visa would be cancelled, it included the following:

Citizenship Office:

What happens to your Visa?
Your New Zealand residency Visa will be cancelled once you become a citizen.
If you wish to travel overseas after you become a citizen, you will need to:

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Hi team,

So I finally heard from them — an officer sent an e-mail confirming my name smelling and some other details. This is the first communication I received — there was no communication about assigning an officer. I applied end of June 2021, so those who applied in July 2021 should hear from them soon.

Good luck to everyone!

Shame. Some people waiting for more than 13 months while others are getting it in less than 2 months!
This is not fair at all!

@Almo5, hang in there mate.  I never received an email with the print date.  My certificate just turned up, about 6 weeks after being approved.

I assume you got the standard "your certificate will be printed within the next 2 months" in your approval email so just sit tight and call them on 1 September if you don't have it by then.

Mine was approved in early July, and my certificate printing date will be this mid-August.

Complete selinene! Anyone got an approval this week or last week?

They are still processing June 2021? Or they are still busy processing 2022 applications?

My partner got an email on 28/06/22 for her 26/05/21 application, asking her to supply her passport.  We went up to Auckland today for an appointment at DIA Parnell to view the passport and for them to take copies.  She applied online originally.

Since we got back from Auckland she has received a 'personal details confirmation request' email from her Case Manager to verify that these are what she wants on the certificate, however they are very careful to say in the email that 'this email does not constitute an approval for your citizenship application' or words to that effect.  Hopefully she is not far away from getting her approval, she has only been in NZ for 50 years!

Well,
This not fair at all. People are waiting for more than 13 months just to be assigned for a case officer! While they are busy processing applications submitted on 2022.
The numbers are clearly showing this:
30 June 2022 24,494
29 July 2022 22,136

They are struggling to resolve the issue for more than 2 years.

They are taking about a new system so those are in the new one are lucky their applications process time reduced However, migrate people from the old to the new system is matter of a small DB script!

It is lack of management and experience in my opinion.
