floydbloke:

The pathetic summer we're suffering in Wellington (so far, anyway).

There's a summer happening? who knew?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Not annoyed so much as confused.

Trade Me's "Recommended For You" bit is full of baby buggies, bassinets and child's bikes!! I have no idea why whatever algorithm they use has decided that I need to look at three classes of item I have exactly zero need for!

Are you in a different Wellington to the one I'm in?  Multiple days of high 20's, some breezy days and approximately one day of rain in the past couple of weeks.  Though Upper Hutt does tend to be about 5 degrees warmer in Summer than Wellington itself.

So being 10c in Johsonville last Monday and the wind/rain during the weekend doesn't count?

Monday, as in two days ago was somewhat cooler, yes.  Didn't get any rain in Upper Hutt over the weekend though.  Just the wind.  Overall though, seems to have been fairly reasonable.  But I guess it's subjective.

You might be surprised at what they (think they) know about you. Would you have bought/looked at unscented soap or extra large bags of cotton balls recently?

More on The Power of Habit, or, How Target Knew a Teen was Pregnant Before her Dad available here: https://charlesduhigg.com/new-york-times-magazine/

I highly recommend his book.

Maybe the algorithm is just doing a simple word match and thinks you have a thing for children since you talk so much about not having them.

My facebook ads are often full of stuff my wife searches for. I am not interested in Lorna Jane workout clothes!
