Not the first time they've cast a Doctor who had already been on the show.

Colin Baker already played another Timelord in the Davison era.

At least this will (presumably) pretty much rule out the semi-romantic side of things that Tennant\Smith have had with most of the companions.

I thought Tennant was fantastic, wasn't a fan of Smith generally although he had his moments, will be very interesting to see how Capaldi does.

Yeah, I agree on the actor's capabilities. I liked the idea that there was a hint of love between Rose and Tennant, but I also never wanted it to go anywhere as that would just ruin the story. Glad they stuck to that!

yup, with catherine tate, big cross over thing with capt jack + torchwood, unit, sarah jane. series 4 finally i think.

And "Hint" of love? They came just short of a full "I love you" before they warped Tennant away from the alternate dimension.

Pretty cool, not sure I approve of their use of the 2009 version of the theme, which is my least favourite of all of them though.
