PaulBags: Not to sound insensitive but was there actually any damage? I mean, other than a couple of glasses and bottles?

Paul has a point, Welly is built for quakes, CHCH wasn't and suffered. Had mates calling me all day to see if we were still alive, first thing we did was screw our new Willianswarn (thanks beervana) to the floor, then shot into town and picked the wife up. Priorities.

Screw your new what?! Is that some sort of au pair or something?

ROFL...

You got a Williamswarn and haven't invited all of GZ around to try it? I'm gutted!

Firstbrew only went down yesterday and takes 7 days to complete, but thats a good idea once I have had all my regular mates (and new mates I seem to have once they found out about the Williamswarn) I will put out an invitation to attend Friday 4's.

A certain well known GZ persons wife parks the Chrysler right outside our building weekly taking the kids to gym so I could drop a sample into the car for him to try ;)

You can trust the wife to get it home safely. And it's one kid only. The other one is "borrowed" for the afternoon to look like a big family (actually a friend's kid who comes along).

Great since that borrowed kid isnt yours you can leave it behind and make more room for beer.

Bung: I was outside in Strathmore Wgtn smashing a hole in a concrete path to get at some pipes. It felt quite strange to feel the ground push back ....

You angered Papatūānuku ... this explains everything.

I got an email from my father in law saying he was on a treadmill on the exact opposite side of the planet at the time, and that he thinks he caused the quakes.
