The feature I like the most would have to be the size.

I like the small size of it. Small businesses do not have room for racks so such a small server and quiet server is easy to fit anywhere.

I'd have to go with

  • Personalize your MicroServer with the new Front Bezel Faceplate Kit
Silver front bezel wouldn't go with my black Silverstone HTPC, so make mine black!!

The small size and ease of set-up means I can finally have a server for my home network, I used to manually set one up in the days of XP and since getting Win7 amazingly I can't seem to get it to work. I'm sure this would solve all the problems..

Best feature for me would be the ability to add lots of storage both internally and externally.  Currently have lots of media files spread over multiple machines.  Managing the files would be so much easier if they were located on a single machine.

The size is great, low power consumption but great performance, low noise, and best of all is it would definitely pass the WAF for the living room based on how good it looks!!

It would benefit me as I deal with a lot of 1080p video that is recorded at up to 40 mbps and for this I need reliable storage that is fast and to replace the current arrangement of a multitude of USB2 hard drives.

iLO is the feature that sets it apart, locate the server out of sight and go headless. I have an older similar model and iLO is why I'd buy another

Embedded remote management will be great - it also looks pretty awesome!

I'm going to have to agree with ajobbins and his first reply: a NAS but better, since you get access to the real OS behind it.

This looks like the ideal replacement for my now aging Acer AH340 with Windows Home Server V1.0.

I've pretty much maxed the poor thing out and have been casting round for something as a suitable replacement.

Being able to expand beyond the 4 drive bays supplied (USB 3.0 to an external RAID box, perhaps) and/or go to larger than 2TB drives internally would allow me to expand beyond my current storage constraints and the extra RAM available would certainly help performance!

I'd have to say the hot swappable drives are awesome- no need to power down the machine or fiddle with screwdrivers!

I've got an older MicroServer which is my ESXi box, it's currently maxed out and running out of resources. Having the extra speed, the ability to put more ram in it as well as Link aggregation + iLO for when I'm away would be more than handy, no more phoning up my flatmates when I'm away to reboot the server.

Best feature would be a split between:

Instant out-of-box server set up and deployment
Small, quiet, energy efficient, and can be placed anywhere

Would be great as Im just out of uni and launching a couple of websites so would love this as my first server

I love that it has iLO in such a small form factor. I would love to use it as a personal NAS and cloud-server which is secure, reliable and accessible from anywhere.

Excellent -- a small box on which to host various development images. Niice!
