I'll be updating my $40 Skinny "smart" phone complete with cracked screen for extra street cred lol
It all began 2.5 years ago when my wife's birthday was coming up. You see, I share a joint account with my wife where she has control over all my money. (it's the same account my pay goes into)
I know, I know, I'm nuts. Who on earth in the right mind would do that? I did. Best decision I've made so far. She creates spreadsheets and monitors spendings to make sure we are always saving enough. Anyways, I digress.
So a day before her birthday, I've decided to get my wife a birthday present with some secret money I've"laundered" from our joint account. By that I mean, I used to pay upfront for things for my friends (i.e. lunches, badminton court bookings, gifts, etc...) and I would ask my friends to pay me back into a different account, a personal account my wife doesn't have access to. As you can imagine, it took awhile before I racked up enough money, finding ways to save up as much as I can, just to surprise my wife on her birthday, with a brand new iPhone 6s! She was shocked and she loved it ever since. She eventually found out I was laundering money from our joint account and has since tightened security and my spendings. DAMN IT.
All good though, I still love her heaps. And she still loves her phone. Although, it's beginning to slow down on her and her battery isn't lasting long anymore. Till this day, I still secretly have some $$ stashed away, so that 1 day I can see the smile on her face when I surprise her with another gift.
I would replace my aging Samsung S4, which has already gone through a motherboard replacement, case replacement, wireless/modem & microphone replacement. Might as well face where that trend is going...
I will need to wait until I do have a replacement phone before I can take a photo of my phone, (someone didn't think that part though!), but here is a generic photo for you.

I'll get in touch with Maxwell Smart and offer to replace his phone!

Pictured are my iPhone 4S and my Samsung Galaxy S3.
Would very much love to stop using either or both of them, neither of them are supported or secure, as a result they're largely relegated to emergency use only. It's been years since I had a smartphone that was fully mine and that I was free to do with what I want!
I would replace this Sony M2 that is hugely long overdue to be sent to its final resting place. My youngest boy uses this to play Pokemon Go with his brother and me and it's on its last legs so it's either winning this or buying a new handset for the wee lad.
Any recommendations welcome for an entry level (low cost) mobile handset that'll serve him for his adventures :)
Don't take life too seriously. Remember, no one gets out alive.

It's 2G only, so it won't work in Oz anymore, or in NZ for much longer, so I need a new phone
I have an aging Z3 which has lost the top row of sensors. Which makes it really hard to look at notifications.
My story......
I gave my daughter her first smart phone this year - a spare Samsung J5. Apparently that's not enough for her - all the 'cool' kids at secondary school have Fisher Price, sorry I mean iPhones.
Maybe a new decent Android phone thats not loaded with bloatware will save her from being trapped forever in the Apple walled garden.
Otherwise, I guess I could just force her back to this...who wants to be father of the year anyway??

I would be replacing a Huawei P9 that is screaming at me for an upgrade
If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.
