Batman:
Isn't that a true statement in some countries? Does that still make it racist if the dad says it?
It is both racist and the victim of racism.
Haha Piers Morgan is just a spoilt brat that acts like a little kid, whah whah whah.
I like Harry and his missus but after slamming the media about not leaving them alone it does not sound like a sensible idea to serve them up a smorgasbord.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding : Ice cream man , Ice cream man
C'mon people. Harry this, Meghan that. You know we're supposed to be using full titles. You know, for respect and all that. It's Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

I watched them interviewed in their palatial manicured garden, complaining that Archie can’t call himself a Prince, and I thought of all the families with parents earning minimum wage, working multiple jobs, struggling just to meet the basics, like the weekly rent and food on the table.
Privileged versus the privileged, and they expect us to feel for them. Yeah, nah.
I just watched it, never heard that. I heard he will lose his title, but the issue is he has lost his security. As Harry said, who has also lost his security, he was borne into risk. he is still at risk as are his family. Thats what the royals cut off.
Harry and Megan are worth millions in their own right - tens of millions.
They do not need the UK taxpayer or the US taxpayer to fund private security if they want it.
esawers: Actually protocol states that Archie does not get the Prince title until Charles is King.
Under protocols established by George V in letters patent more than 100 years ago in 1917, the children and grandchildren of a sovereign have the automatic right to the title HRH and prince or princess.
At the time Archie was born, he was the great-grandchild of a sovereign, not a grandchild.

I don't understand. You are saying nobody is allowed to say factual statements too?
i recall watching this. go to about 4:40
GSManiac:
do you want to try that again?
if you had really watched it ...
I'll ignore your sarcasm, I did watch it, honest mistake, so happy to change 'their palatial manicured garden' to 'a palatial manicured garden'. The remainder of my comment remains unchanged.
MikeB4:
Prince Harry has served his country in several military deployments and in harms way, how many who talk of him being privileged have served in harms way? He has done a lot of work for rehabilitation of wounded service men and woman and worked in areas of mental health.
Yes he has served, yes he has done some admirable voluntary work. As child, he was forced to walk alongside his mother's coffin in circumstances I wouldn't wish on any child. And, of all the royals, I actually quite like him.
But in their current spat, I have no empathy. Harry and Meghan's public squabbling over money and privileges is an insult to the millions in this world suffering from genuine hardship.
My 2c worth, the racism comment is likely to have been overblown to support their narrative. "I wonder if the child will have dark skin" could be as innocent of a comment as "will the child look like its mother or its father", or it could have been as she stated, but unless the person that made the comment comes forward publically with their version of the conversation, its her word against "somebodys".
Her "I sacrificed my career to marry him", 2nd rate actress in a bit part of a TV show to princess to the most publicised monarchy in the western world, huge sacrifice buttercup.
I had a conversation with my son only in the last week, be wary of high maintenance / needy women. They will lure you in and trap you. Don't let your little head do the thinking for the big head. If only Prince Charles had had a similar conversation with Prince Harry.
I suspect she didn't like living in the shadow of not only the Queen, but also William/Kate who are for all intents and purposes "the monarchy". I know Charles is next in line and he will undoubtedly have a brief stint on the chair, but the future really is with William.
Perhaps the failings are with the firm, they didn't fully prepare her for what being a royal actually meant and the obligations that would come with her title. Her comment about having to curtsey when meeting "Harry's grandmother" showed she had absolutely no clue about royal protocol. Yes, the queen is his grandmother, but she is the queen first.
I believe the outrage over this interview has nothing to do with money it is the inability to recognise and deal with racism. What has to happen here is ownership of the reality of racism. Without that ownership our society will forever repeat and perpetuate its inherent racism. The underlaying issue is being hidden by an avalanche of word salad about wealth and privilege as if being wealthy means you cannot be a victim of racism therefore should not react to such racism.

Is the Royal Family establishment immune here? Is there anything wrong with not wanting to have your life removed? They still wanted to serve but not under that harsh regime, all they wanted was security paid for, given that Harry and the children had no choice, being born into a position where security is required.
I guess its up for debate who is having a spat. Spoilt Harry or the 1200 rigid royal regime. I like the royals, but this is a step too far

In any case, the Firm having 100% control doesn't work in 2020, and if you aren't blue blood, you are a problem.
Kate Middleton seems to have fitted in just fine and she's not blue blood.

Who are the ones who have taken every opportunity to publicise their dissent?
I don't think spoilt Harry is quite accurate, a young man influenced by early childhood trauma, having his whole life before and after Diana publicised by every tabloid in the country. Its little wonder he has the views he has.

But suitable background, and part of the wider aristocracy, so you dont allow riff raff in
Members of the Middleton family were described as "aristocracy" and "friends of British royalty" to whom, in their civic capacity, they "played host as long ago as 1926"
