Do you really think I would change my keyboard layout to get the Swedish ä? Thanks for the correction, but I know that, without wanting to complicate things here, and Jaws is the title of the film of the same name about the great white shark. 😁

First: ä and å are different vowels.

Second: Jaw and Jaws are very different. ;)

It was the German umlaut „ä“ that was meant (imagine, we have that too and it doesn’t sound like the Swedish „ä“). And that's how we pronounce it. I said I didn't want to complicate things. In the Swedish language you are completly right, but I still have a German keyboard layout. „Plooh-hi“ 😁

And yes, I forgot an s, if that helps you sleep better. 😉

We're gonna need a bigger trolley.

Nah, forget it. I took a quick look at the NZ range and the really interesting stuff isn't available (yet?) – for example, there are no heat pumps or balcony power stations (yes, really) ... and a large part of the Tradfri (Zigbee) smart home range is missing. 😉

Looking at some of the stock levels in the app for the store, I am expecting to miss out on some of the things I want to get. Also none of the kitchen stuff is in stock to pick up at all. I will have a look thru after getting back home about ordering some pantry etcs after looking at them today.

Well, I would first get an overview, because the selection (online) is still relatively limited. But I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will improve by spring (ahem, autumn for you). It could be due to electrical standards or power plugs.

But the way you are at the moment, the shed will be sold out in no time. 🤣

NZ and Australia share the same electrical standard and plug type. IKEA has been in Australia since 1975.

Yes, I did say it could be possible. Does the equipment need to be specially approved for New Zealand, or is there mutual recognition? Never mind, you'll sort it out.

There may be some effect on things like lighting because lighting for kids is specifically called out in the regs here.

The electrical and emc standards are the same. It’s a joint New Zealand and Australia standard system.

Not shitty, let‘s say „cost-optimised.“ At least the leg spacing of the Lack table is exactly right for 19" devices.😁

That is scary!

The entire internet is full of „Lack“ hacks and 3D holders for them. Here for Unifi. But enough OT.

Oh no. We need to go bigger...

Some wood to increase structural integrity... Some rails screwed in... Cut a hole for a cable drop...

The Lack legs are unfortunately pretty thin on the inside and I've got some weighty equipment (heaviest is a 2911 and my ML110 G9 which will go on a shelf).

I really wouldn’t put that stuff in a platsa unit. They aren’t sturdy at all - I have a couple of their wardrobes which are fine for hanging shirts but they are made of weetbix.

Pax would be a much better choice or maybe a metod pantry unit. Those are both really robust. Metod has the added benefit of all sorts of drawers and shelves.

Would be nice if they delivered here to EBOP.

Oh well early days and no rush...
