I am certainly eying up the Nespresso's...
Local Harvey Normans have the Pixie plus Aeroccino for $393
Or they've got the Citiz (with Aeroccino) fro $511 - which I should be able to get reduced to about $450 cos' it's that much somewhere else... and then get the $50 Cash Back on top of it.

But the wife said I could only get one if it was small enough to fit on the bench... problem is there ain't a hell of a lot of room on the bench... It would fit, but there would be even less room... If the electric jug can sit there for her cups of tea, then the Nespresso can sit there for my coffees!!!

But seriously -  the Pixie vs the Citiz, the only difference I can see are the base on the Citiz for the Aeroccino (which isn't a big one, except that it'e one less cord and useful storage, BUT takes up more room overall), and the larger tank on the Citiz - again not really an issue over the Pixie. Anyone know of any other differences, Pro's, Con's?

if you are in Auckland go round to thier shop in Newmarket and they will demo all of them for you. I had issues with my aeroccino had to get twice replaced, they were prone to breaking down but that was a while back.

Does the Pixie come with areoccino???

The deal at Harvey Normans that I saw is certainly an areoccino boxed together with a Pixie. Are Pixie end-of-life? They don't show in the current lineup on the Nespresso website.

TheUngeek: Went to Noel Leemings here yesterday and couldn't get past the salesmans sales speak to find out the real difference between them.

Harvey Norman and Smiths City (Richmond store was better I thought) are also worth a visit, but I wouldn't expect any greater knowledge from their sales staff.

Try the UK site they have a Compare feature    http://www.nespresso.com/uk/en/coffee-maker-list-Nesp I  have a Le Cube unit (and an earlier Nesspresso C290). Having lived in Europe I think the major differences are really about styling, to suit a wider variety of consumers tastes, and apartment kitchen styles.

This comes from one of a few coffee blogs in my RSS reader: Nespresso The Citiz vs The Pixie.

Where is a good place to get these from please? Do they have a model name to search for please?

freitasm: You folks should get these Bodum glasses... Keep coffee hot for longer thanks to the dual glass wall, and it's cool to look at:

There's a coffee accessories/machine shop in Petone (if you are in Wellington). Also available from Living & Giving.

Just look for Bodum Pavina glasses and you will find out if the shop carry those or not.

I got a Russel Hobbs coffee maker for Christmas. Yes I opened it up early, thanks to my sister. Anyway I have been trying it out now for the last couple of days brought a couple of Civo Scuro Dark Roast ground coffee and love the new taste. Gone are the days of packet instant coffee I will never drink another. For now on its my coffee machine. :)

Well after reading all the good things said about the nespresso machines, I went to Norman Ross and got the pixie with aeroccino for $376. Can't wait to open it up and get my coffee on.
