davesmylie: In the Shadow of the Sword: The Birth of Islam and the Rise of the Global Arab Empire, by Tom Holland.
I've been on a bit of a Tom Holland mission as of late, and this is about the 4th book of his that I've read. I thought this book was pretty mediocre compared to his books on Rome and Greece, and I struggled to finish this one.
I've now moved on to Millennium: The End Of The World And The Forging Of Christendom (Tom Holland), and this one is a much easier read =)

BurningBeard: Just finished A Storm of Swords: Blood & Gold from the "A Song of Ice & Fire" series.
Goddamn 10/10 this one. Best yet - probably because of all the crazy events that I simply can't even allude to without ruining it for anybody.

Handle9: Just finished the new Reacher - Never Go Back. Decent, not his best but better than some of his more recent stuff.
7/10
